Agreed. I like some of the alternate outfits, like the 60s one for Devil's Chord or Bridgerton outfit for Rogue. Beyond that I'd like to see more of an iconic look for this particular Doctor.

Well in the aftermath it was hardly a big hit. Luke warm reception by fans and only got over 4.1m and even then that went over 4m in the last ten minutes as viewers came in to get ready for Wallace & Gromit. And 7+ figures under 6m lol Time for these guys to leave and get a fresh new team to take over they have well overstayed.

Nah. The problem is that in his original run, he was under immense pressure because he needed to make it popular for the BBC not to cancel it again and also the fact that the budget was way lower than what they have today and it meant that he had to make stories that he think the general public would really enjoy rather than just coming up with whatever crazy idea came out of his head. Also the fact that his original run had a lot more guest writers whereas he wrote almost every episode bar two this season.

That doesn't just mean fewer stories, it means he has to either get rid of or cram down anything that would have been a two-parter (which were almost always the best episodes.) That's a choice made above the show runners head.
