I personally think that Colin Baker should’ve been given another season because he was one of the best Doctor. I have another what if 7th Doctor survived The events of the TV movie? Well it’s not the worst what if the world

As a kid growing up I came into watching Doctor Who in the final season of the 5th Doctor and loved the 6th Doctor. His sarcasm and condescending looks had me like him so much more lol. When he regenerated into 7th I cried 😂 was not happy about it. But continued watching the show and still enjoyed it.

If Colin Baker stayed on for another season I would have liked for them to have done some of the unmade Season 22 stories.

I'm not sure if they would've used those stories for Season 24. I believe Eric Saward took all of the previous scripts with him when he left, which is why JNT had to scramble to get some in for S24 in our timeline. :)

Season 24 was so utterly bad that quite honestly, I think he was lucky not to be in it. The real shame is that he didn't get to do his "missing season" which had some genuinely interesting stories in.

Honestly mate, given everything I've heard about the lost Season 23, I don't think it would’ve been as good as you think. Season 24 wasn't the best no, but at least none of it's stories were sexist (like the original S23's Mission to Magnus was) or would’ve aged quite as badly as the Nightmare Fair.

Colin baker is my favourite classic who doctor. It's just a shame a lot of the writing is poor. Lovely video as well 😆

so as you said Colin wanted to out do Tom's time as the Doctor and even said somewhere he wanted to o over 10 Seasons so at some point if it's not too much trouble could you do a what if world where he did 10 to per say 13 cause the base 3 Seasons most Doctor's have plus 10. this would be like how Tom Baker was the Doctor from 1974-1981 being the 70's Doctor Colin would be from 1984-1994/1997 being the 80's and 90's Doctor and how the show would go after that is a wild and yes that means in this world Doctor Who is never cancelled

Colin Baker should have had another season. They should have incorporated the missing episodes using Mel in most of the stories instead of peri. Peri could have been in the lost story with the Celestial Toymaker using it as the story where Peri leaves, then the story giving Mel the appropriate interruption into traveling in the Tardis. Ending the run with where it explains the possibility of the Doctor regenerating in the middle of the Rani hijacking the Tardis.

Don't forget Peri had already left in Mindwarp. So no need for her to stick around for the Nightmare Fair. Also, I don't think the lost Season 23 would've worked as Season 24. It was very much written in the same style as Season 22, with each episode being 45 minutes long. Also, I believe Eric Saward took all the scripts that hadn't been made when he left, which is why JNT had to go with entirely new scripts for Season 24. Plus, the lost Season 23 isn't as great as some fans think it is. Sure, there are some interesting concepts, but the Nightmare Fair would've aged horribly with most of it being to do with an 80's video game. It wouldn't have been the spectacular return for the Toymaker that everyone thinks it would be. Also, Mission to Magnus would've been extremely sexist. And since Robert Holmes had died during the making of the previous season, the Trial of a Time Lord Season 23, he wouldn't have been able to rewrite Yellow Fever And How to Cure It, assuming that JNT was even able to get that script back, which is incredibly unlikely. The only chance that the lost Season 23 had of being made would be if the 1985 hiatus never happened. It couldn't have been made any other way as far as I know.

@@BillWhovian it was explained that at the end of the ultimate foe that Peri was actually a warrior queen to king Euconos because the Master manipulated the events of the matrix. In theory her timeline was splintered similarly to Clara based on how the Master had messed with the Matrix, so in this split in time she could have gone back to earth and school as planned.

I thought that was the Valeyard who manipulated the events though, as that was part of his plan to have the Doctor found guilty and then get the Doctor's remaining regenerations? And okay fair enough if you've got your own fan theory. But I don't see how that would have any effect on what JNT did with Season 24? Unless you intend on going back in time and suggesting it to him of course haha 😂 (Only pulling your leg obviously)

@@BillWhovian i think it is moreso the Master, since he was inside the matrix when he appeared for the court, ratting out the Valeyard and when he presented the Doctor in the timeless child from the matrix he had a way to manipulate the events, giving the Doctor a sense she was the timeless child when it could possibly be the Master. I wouldn't put it passed if that it is the actual events missing from the matrix.

@timothyweers8054 I'm sorry but as much as we may not completely like it, the intention with the Timeless Child is that it's the Doctor. I like the rest of your idea though. I think it was mainly the Valeyard but it wouldn't surprise me if the Master had a part in it too

Remember when i said i would like to see you do Peter davison staying for 2 more season's and colin Baker staying for 3 more season's well i have had further thoughts about that lately and i know Peter davison wanted to do 3 seasons and took Patrick troughtons advice and left but if he was to have stayed longer and stayed for a fourth season which i think he could have done i think he would not have stayed further than his fourth year and you have technically done Colin Baker staying longer for more years in you what if the 1985 hiatus never happened video.

The leather jacket? I doubt it would’ve changed much, as Michael Grade and Jonathan Powell would still have hated the show and tried to get rid of it. But it would’ve been great to see Colin in it. :)

@julianblake3140 He certainly had some... interesting ideas. I wouldn't say what happened was partly caused by him though. As you say, Grade and Powell really had it in for the show. It would’ve been doomed no matter who the producer at the time was. JNT was just a good target for them.

@@BillWhovian Yes that’s a good way of putting it. Grade hated SF in general as he stated in the room 101 he did. Ironically his grandfather Lew Grade financed all the Gerry Anderson shows.

That was intended to be Colin's final story originally though. Yes, they could've left the regeneration out of it, but I was also struggling to think of a plot for it, as I couldn't find one online.

I know I recently commented that I think that had Peter davison stayed on for a fourth season he would not have stayed further then that but maybe it still would have been nice if he did stay for 2 more seasons and did a fifth season as well as he is also one of my favourite Doctor's maybe I could put down a future what if comment of Peter davison staying for 5 years(seasons 19-23) on your discord server.

I have decided to add the twin dilemma to my recent comments idea i know not everyone likes this story but i think it is ok and i think it is a good first story for colin Baker and i think this story suites his doctor as i said i might do a continuation of this with Sylvester McCoy staying for 5 years i do intend to but i can't decide what unmade stories to use at the moment.
