There’s been an unusual number of 3s popping up this season: Karla’s flat is on the 3rd floor of number 3 where Cherry says “We three queens of the sky up here in the attic” and where Karla has fostered 33 children. Ruby had bad luck over the past 3 weeks, “Mum’s asleep by 3”, the goblins could dine 3 days at least, the gloves only had 3% power left. Next episode, a build up of pressure in Hull 3B, Nan-E in portal 357. The devil’s chord is a triad, it starts playing 3 Blind mice, the episode set in 1963. Boom set on Kastarian 3. 73 yards speaks for itself. D&B… okay not got much in that one. Rogue set in 1813. Plus there’s a group of crystals this season: Ruby, snow, salt. Also in CoRR, Susan Twist’s character asks if they can play Gaudette which is the 3rd Sunday of advent (aka Rose Sunday) as well as being a track by Steeleye Span’s 1972 album called “Below The Salt” which is surely not going to be pure coincidence either. There was a God in 1972’s Who, Kronos, a time eater, trapped in a trident-shaped crystal, responsible for (one of) the destruction(s) of Atlantis, legend saying that being where pyramids began and since the finding of the so-called Antarctic pyramid some say Antarctic is where Atlantis was. Or Susan could just be Sutekh as everyone points to the sand in the trailer. They have sand timers in the form of hourglasses too of course so a God of time seems more plausible to me. And if you’ve read this far: sorry, I’ll get to the point faster in future 🙈

@@TardisTalks Just thought of one more: The TARDIS dematerialisation circuit is kinda pyramid shaped. In The Three Doctors the timelords send the Doctor a new circuit to free him from his exile. I don’t think it’s ever explained what happened to the old, blocked dematerialisation circuit so that could have been kicking around at UNIT ever since and, with Tennant in residence with the Temple-Nobles and with Ncuti on earth, that’s potentially three dematerialisation circuits from the same TARDIS in the same city. What could that mean? Buggered if I know! 🤔🤷‍♂️

26th December 2004 is a SUNDAY and is the RUBY (40th anniversary) since Susan's last appearance (26th December 1964). Ruby was born two days earlier and left at Church at that same Christmas 2004 (Probably for the sake of the story as Christmas Eve is much more interesting than Boxing Day lol). Since the Christmas episode itself was about Fate > Coincidence I would say this could be a hidden clue/foreshadowment from Russell that Ruby is either Susan or her daughter. Would be typical Russell also.

Perhaps the strange demon-like woman we saw briefly in the trailer is Hecate, the goddess of magic and witchcraft in ancient Greek mythology. According to Wikipedia, Hecate was depicted as a woman with three heads, thought to represent the past, present and future, i.e., a triad. What if Ruby, Susan Triad, and the demon-looking woman are somehow different representations of Hecate, the One Who Waits? EDIT: A new promo has come out in the last hour which says the cyborg version of the woman is a Sloogma from Sloog, and the demon-headed version is a Griffin from the planet Varsitay… so, nothing very interesting after all, sadly.

So, with you pointing out all the triangles hidden in the new series, a possible theory comes to mind. Not super likely to be the case, but a theory that might be worth considering: The new season has all been a game played by the Toymaker and The Doctor, but without The Doctor's knowledge. Now, I know that sounds very bargain basement, but it's the triangles that makes me consider it. You see, the first encounter between The Doctor and the Toymaker that we see way back in Classic Who, the Toymaker challenged The Doctor to a "trilogic game." And the game board used for the trilogic game? It's a triangle, with playing pieces that form a pyramid (another form of a triangle). The prop made for the trilogic game even had a supernatural aspect to it too, as former companion actor, Peter Purves, claimed the prop carried a curse during the time he owned it (it was a parting gift when he left the show); something not too far off from the paranormal mysteries in the current series, like the Welsh fairy ring in 73 Yards. It's still more likely that the big twist will either be Sutekh, or the Rani, or the Valeyard, or an evil Susan Foreman, but it would be a fun reveal in a similar vein to TNG's "All Good Things..." where The Doctor learns that the original game played with the Toymaker was never actually over (despite the fact The Doctor did complete the last move and seemingly blew up the Toymaker's old realm) and everything we've seen since has just been further moves on a grander scale.

I've been thinking a variation on that. I don't think it goes as far back as the original Toymaker story but after the game of catch in The Giggle the Doctor claims victory, two-one. BUT IT ISN'T BECAUSE THE DOCTOR IS NOW SPLIT INTO TWO SO THE SCORE IS 1-1-1, DEAD HEAT. So the Toymaker justifies keeping the game going. He manipulates the Doctor into some pretty odd adventures because he's making the Doctor cosplay the Doctor - there's a goblins story, a cute baby story, a musical (and how did the Doc and Ruby ad lib so perfectly in the Church On Ruby Road? Because they didn't know it but they were being made to perform), a war story, welsh ghost story... This whole season has a feel of The Truman Show about it. You may be right, we may be overthinking the whole thing but I'd bet we'll all be going back and watching it again (helpfully doubling the ratings) once we really understand what it was all about.

Hey not to disprove the moon hospital thing, but im pretty sure the triangle on the ambulance in "Boom" is a villengarde thing. Steven Moffat wrote that episode, so he is inserting his own Doctor Who lore in that episode, as to not disrupt what RTD has done in the episode you showed. Pretty sure Moffat took ideas and pointers from RTD to serve the overall season mystery, but I dont think it's much else from that

Besides the obvious 'the average viewer wouldn't get the reference' reason (the Rod of Asclepius is more recognizable to the average viewer), there's several reasons why the green moon wouldn't be used. 1. It's the symbol for _hospitals_ - and the Villengard Ambulances arent very hospital-y, y'know? 2. Alternatively, suppose that the moon symbol is actually meant to be the universal Red Cross equivalent or something. That implies non-combatant status in wars as well and such, and highly restrictive criteria for when one can use it. I highly doubt that the Villengard corporation would be able to get away with the incredibly conspicuous war crime of putting the 'non combatant medical personnel' logo on their "Ambulances" (which are more than capable of doing combatant stuff, thereby y'know probably counting as combatants and not allowed to use that emblem). 3. Again with the 'universal symbol of health care in general' interpretation - well, those ambulances don't really do that (in opposition to the concept of 'wounded combatants in war should be treated regardless of what side they are' or the more general 'at least try to do something if someone needs emergency medical care'). So, y'know, seeing as the ambulances are configured to outright refuse to help civilians, the green moon wouldn't be very appropriate anyway.

Hey TARDIS Talks! Wow, that is very clever indeed I have to say, well done for spotting all this and pointing it out! Yeah I don't think this is a coincidence, there must be something going on here with all the triangles linking to Triad Technology. RTD can be incredibly sneaky and subtle with various clues in his storytelling as well, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is the case at all. I didn't notice the triangles, but I do know that some people didn't even notice Susan Twist's repeated appearances throughout the series until it was pointed out to them! I think the three pieces linking everything together could be Ruby, Susan Triad and the One Who Waits, because I do not believe the OWW is female and here's why. It can't be Mrs. Flood or Ruby or Susan Triad because when Maestro spoke to the Doctor about the Oldest One during The Devil's Chord, the Oldest One was referred to as a he/him ("and power like him?" or "he can't have been there!") So that MUST mean the One Who Waits is a male character and not a woman so it can't be any of those characters (I am only assuming that the Oldest One is the same entity as the One Who Waits, that might not be true but I am pretty sure they are). But yeah Ruby, Susan and the OWW we know are VERY significant characters so it wouldn't surprise me if these three are the pieces of the triangle you mentioned if your theory does turn out to be true. Also, I believe that Ruby's biological mother will turn out to be Susan Triad as well, and her birth will also link to the awakening of the OWW as a result so yeah. It must be some kind of godlike figure, but maybe it is actually one we have never seen on the show before instead of a returning god from years past, who knows though! Seeing as how the Doctor's TARDIS has been making these groaning noises throughout the series, I also believe that Triad (an anagram of TARDIS) Technology have been manipulating it's systems from behind the scenes for a very long time now for some kind of sinister purpose which also connects to the Oldest One, maybe even all the way to the end of The Star Beast if you catch me. I cannot wait to find out and am very excuted to see what happens in the epic two-part finale, not long to go now! Apologies for the really long comment, but I just wanted to get all of my thoughts out there for you.

Go back to the Third Doctor serial Inferno. The Brigadier and other alternate UNIT soldiers have this emblem on their cap, something larger in the middle flanked with two smaller shapes. This obviously was not the intent of Inferno written so long ago, but today, we can interpret this as the Tardis flanked by two trees. It's a very very very old artistic motif. I'm not making this up, I saw it in Learning Channel course about Western art history, where the very first thing discussed was this idea of the tree of knowledge and the tree of life flanking something like a door or whatever. Because that is the triad that symbolizes the Inferno Doctor, who needs to eat of the tree of knowledge to fully be able to control their Tardis again. They are a Timeless Child, so they have already eaten of the tree of life.

Interesting. I can't help but think: we already have two doctors. What if there's a third part that split off during that last regeneration? Something we somehow missed or weren't informed about at the time? I went back to rewatch that special after seeing this, and couldn't help but notice the (now obvious) triangles all around the doctor(s) on the walls during the split. What if it wasn't bi-generation, but "tri-generation?" I wonder if Jodie's doctor could somehow be linked to all of this, since her regeneration didn't actually produce someone new? Could Susan be like a lost Jodie, slowly re-figuring out who she is? It might explain her living so long... maybe? Now I can't stop thinking about this...

Maybe I'm going crazy with this, but could it be related to the holy trinity in Christianity? Ruby is the son (or daughter in this case), Ruby's mother represents the father and I have no idea what the holy spirit would be. The One Who Waits? especially with God being a figure that sort of 'waits' in the background. The fact that the trinity is more or less represented as a triangle too and even has 'tri' in it. Perhaps the spirit could also be Susan Twist as she appears almost like a spirit everywhere that the Ruby and Doctor go...

Hear me out… Not sure which episode but I remember Ncuti saying that the Bi-generation ‘literally ripped him in two’. Now to me this makes sense as the doctor in this season has not been as focused, quick thinking or as effective as previously. So perhaps he lost half of his intelligence and so forth(the other half with Tenant living with the Donner)? Also if everything of the doctor got split in the bi-generation then potentially his timeline future timeline did aswell? Remember the great intelligence intended to destroy the doctor simultaneously along all of his timeline. However because of the salt spreading, the timeline has changed and the pantheon was released! Now there would be two halves to the timeline, with Ncuti & Tenant…. But also Clara merged throughout his timeline! 14 & 15 have half of the doctor and Ruby is the remains of Clara in the timeline. The Triad👀. If you wanted to go a stretch further, the split pieces of the timeline could be considered as the doctor, Clara and the great intelligence(living snow??). Now wouldn’t that be a twist Also, The only other time we have seen emotion related snow in doctor who is in the snowman episode when Clara dies(which is another Christmas episode)!

I picked up on that, same episode we got Richard E. Grant's face appearing in The Doctor's mugshots leading many to believe that this is the Shalka Doctor finally being made canon.. I think it's a misdirect and the whole bi-generation thing was setup purely so 14 could regenerate into The Valeyard (played by Richard E. Grant) with only residual regeneration energy, maybe even due to The Great Intelligence's previous meddling. This then sets up what we know in Trial, and eventually leads them reintegrating in Gatwa's finale and regenerating as a whole into the 16th Doctor.
