DOCTOR WORKING AS A HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT IN THE UK 🇬🇧

I spent 4mths in hospital after a 3rd stroke (my 1st at age 35 and 2nd & 3rd ages 44) and I feel so bad for Nurses and HCA they’re not paid enough for what they both do. I was bed ridden the first month and a half but most of the time I wasn’t continent. I had wonderful hcas giving me bed baths, showers and the best cleaning I got was from African Hcas. I’m from Zimbabwe living in Manchester and my mum, a brother, a cousin, an aunt and my fiancé are carers. Having a stroke obviously affects my emotions so the first month I was very emotional (I still cry at movies 😅) but the nurses and HCAs were very understanding. This time my speech was affected and can’t always make sense but they were always patient. I owe my life to nurses and HCAs Thank you for your service 💓💛💓 xx

Hi Doc! I applaud your humility🎉❤. I worked in the same capacity here in the US. The difference is that there would have been hospitals here doing everything possible to get you on board, clinics, and out patients facilities. You are a true example. Hi Doc! I admire your sense of caring and humility, God Bless you! You may consider consulting with a life coach who will advise and help you navigate through the physician recruitment process in the UK. Other advice a life coach could provide is dressing for success so that things could work better for you to be employed as a practicing physician rather than a healthcare assistant. You may also consider moving to the USA as things are better there for African physicians who are able to pass the US medical licensing exam, obtain ECFMG certification and enter a fellowship or residency program. All the best.

Is that £12.5 taxed at the end of the week? When did you get your GMC registration and how many jobs applications have you done,? Which city are you in? I couldn't bring myself to work as a HCA, so left for my home country to continue practicing as a Dr, will only come back after a job😂😂😂

It’s 12.50 per hour on a normal weekday shift. So for example if i work 20 hours a week they will calculate that and pay me by the following Friday. Yes that money is taxed. My family is here so I was going to be here anyways whether or not i had a medical job so it working as an HCA is a temporary job for me. Thanks for the love!

Hi! Thanks for watching! Since I registered with an agency they didn’t require any certification at all. They do a free 2 day training for people who are new to care. All you need is at least a high school education and ability to communicate appreciably in english. If you want to work as an HCA in the NHS though, they may require you to have done the 15 care standards which you can easily do online for very cheap. So it depends on which establishment you work with. I will make another video about the application process and the various settings you can apply to. Cheers!

It depends on many factors eg; whether its with an agency or a care institution or NHS. It also depends on the visa you’re on. Average ll say is 37 hours per week but with an agency its unlimited if the conditions of your visa allow you. It’s 12.50 pound per hour, not per day. So if you work for 10 hours in a day you get 125 pounds that day. Hope it’s clear
