I've always been curious to see how much power it actually robs. The tuner thought it was a funny idea haha

Nice. I guessed right. Pretty close to mine.

I know how you feel... mine dyno'd at 169whp, but it's so fun to drive lol.

Great vid Devin as always. Thanks for being transparent with the numbers. A lot of dyno videos dont show rhe numbers and explain the graphs. 181hp 151 ftlbs of torque is a great number for an 86 chassis, and validates even more that its worth swapping out 16 or 20v for a Beams or better. You would probably have to dump $5k + to get a 4age to 180hp. Thanks for sharing.

Of course! I need to do a compression test to see if there is something going on that I could be getting more power, but I am concerned about it.

Noice! Should probably get a fuel pulsation damper.

I def want to, just haven't figured out which one I want to go with and if I'll have to reroute the fuel lines. It's on the list of things I'll get to eventually lol

After the beams swap is done does the rear differential has to be changed and if so what do you recommend I have a the Gts version just keeping in mind
@DoctoredGarage3 ай бұрын
I think that depends on your driving. I've known a few people that ran a GTS rear end for years with a BEAMS swap and it's been ok, whereas I also know people who keep breaking the ring and pinion. If you have no "mechanical sympathy" and use sticky tires or drift with lots of clutch kicks - probably upgrade to something like a Celica supra rear end or Toyota 7.5" from a truck with a disc brake conversion. But if you're just street driving or have a "loose" rear grip setup, you can probably get away with the GTS rear end no problem
