I’ve had severe eye bags all my life, and nothing gets them 100% gone. What’s helped is caffeine cream in the morning, and retinol cream at night. What helps me is to not let ANY product touch the water line of my eyes. I stop about 4 millimeters before it reaches the waterline. My eyes used to water all day long before I started doing that, and once I stopped slapping product all over my eyes, the irritation, puffiness, and tears stopped.

Hey Doctorly! I’m a teen struggling with my skin and your channel has been more than helpful with buying items for my skincare routine. While searching for brands, I found many different views on what ingredients and brands are good for young skin but many contradict each other. I think it would be SUPER helpful if you could have pages on your website for different age groups including ingredients to get or avoid! Thanks a bunch, again!!!

Looking back at photos from my childhood, I have had large puffy circles under my eyes since I was around 4-5. I will never forget a guy in high school who asked me one day where I was traveling to. When I asked him why he thought I was traveling somewhere, he said, "Because your bags are packed." referring to my under-eye bags. I was absolutely mortified and obviously have never forgotten how awful I felt when he said that. My 50 year reunion is this summer, that's how long ago it was. I have tried everything and nothing has gotten rid of the dark circles under my eyes. I will no doubt try some suggested here as I am always hopeful. Thank you for this video.

Thank you for mentioning the possible effects of retinoids on the meibomian glands! Dry eye syndrome is such a huge problem that significantly affects quality of life for a lot of people, especially in the populations that would be looking to treat eye bags, etc. As an optometrist who treats a lot of dry eye, I see every day how common meibomian gland dysfunction has become, and the effects are so hard to manage once you get to a certain point of gland atrophy/morphological changes.

Warm compresses?
@BrokeStudentBeauty
@BrokeStudentBeauty 2 ай бұрын
@@SopurkhKaurWhile warm compresses can help in mild cases, meibomian gland dysfunction can range in severity and go well beyond the relief that at-home warm compresses can provide. Since the people with more severe meibomian gland dysfunction tend to suffer significantly from their symptoms, it's especially important to consider the possible adverse effects that retinoid use in the eye area can have on the meibomian glands. Once you get to the stage where there is significant atrophy or changes to the gland structure, it becomes much more difficult to treat.

Fillers address hollowness not bags
@jessicasummer6361
@jessicasummer6361 4 ай бұрын
They are horrible and can cause problems down the road. They can take 12+ years to dissolve. For many, myself included, the filler can reactivate years later causing uneven swelling and bags and it needs to be dissolved. Most doctors are no longer recommending them because of this. I wish I never did it and would never do it again and I had mine done with a well vetted PS in my area.

I use the Erno Lazlo ‘Eye Cream Duo’ it’s one package with a AM eye cream on one end and the PM eye cream on the other. It’s convenient because it’s one package and both separate formulas work on the specific needs for that time of day. It’s very hydrating and soothing and does brighten a little in the morning. It’s expensive but I have seen results but I know everyone is different. I hope I’m not wasting my money as the product doesn’t have actual retinol in it but ingredients that give the same type benefits I’m told. Thank you for this video!!

Coming in 2nd are Ren products and 3rd is Biossance. These ones were best so far for sensitive eyes and skin and are all cruelty-free Never found a drugstore brand that worked. Elf is so-so but nothing else. Never try La Mer as it made me break out and eye cream gave me milia. Expensive as hell and total crap. I've probably spent thousands and thousands of dollars over the years.

Love Dr. Maxfield's watches. I love silver bracelets on good arms and the dials are always nice. I'm not at the enthusiast level that I can tell which ones they are at a glance but their quality is apparent. Random comment but I find myself pausing these videos and tryna find out which watch he has so figured I'd make a comment lol

What about using retinaldehyde around the eyes? Beauty of Joseon makes a retinal serum for use around the eyes and it's really gentle.

Everyone is different. But it cause me headaches and my under eyes twitch. Once I stop, everything went back to normal. So now I use it on my legs and tummy.

Great information 😊🙌I get puffy only under my right eye when I wake up in the morning and I use a cold spoon that I keep in the freezer as a cold compress in addition to the coffee serum and eye cream. It’s not immediate effect but it helps. I know I should cut the salt , carbs and sugar in my diet but it’s so hard to do when you are surrounded by delicious food in Turkey 😂

Do you sleep on your right side?

@luckyneko1 I toss and turn from side to side, and sometimes I sleep on my back, but never on my stomach. I suppose I favor my right side, though. So it's possible that the fluid is collecting mostly under my right eye. I just hope it's not related to any major organs malfunctioning.

I have been using the Biossance copper peptides plumping serum around my eyes with the eye cream that Dr. Shah (is in LOVE with). As a 60 year old woman, they have made a amazing difference in my tear troughs and smoothing that area. Roc/retinol cream keeps me wrinkle/crease free, well, almost free. Thank you to you both!

Thank you for sharing. I’m 60 as well and would love to try the Biossance eye cream and now I need this serum too! I’ve only tried their jelly cleanser years ago when JVN was promoting the line and it was lovely 😊

Avon has had the dual eye stuff for many years and I love it, but I'm starting to need more. Avon has often been on the forefront of things and is often cheaper (not always though) , do you ever include their products when looking at options? I would love to hear how they compare sometimes.
