Thank you! My skin is unrecognizable from even 10 years ago so I appreciate this video. My biggest skincare concern is what plays nice together. I like that you suggest a routine of alternating retinol and exfoliation. I have sensitive skin and the Tula vitamin C burned my face so badly that I could barely touch it for 3 days. I haven’t gone back to vitamin C since that experience. If you could address skin sensitivities and what percentages of ingredients like Vit C are beginners strength, and maybe a routine for incorporating it, I would appreciate it. I’m always a little unsure of which ingredients mix and match.

I had to slow down the video, because you talk faster than I can process the info. Remember that some of us are new to the world of skin science and the ridiculous amount of products, products, products. I'm trying to narrow this down to the fewest products possible. I learn about hyarlaronic acid, etc., in one derm's video and, just when I think I've got it narrowed down, I'm told to try copper and exfoliate. Sheesh! I have Rosacea and have tried products that caused weeks-long painful flare ups. In your videos, please quickly note whether or not a person with sensitivities ought to try the products you recommend. For instance, is it okay to exfoliate if you have Rosacea? Just turned 60 and STILL oily, at least 9-10 months of the year. I always use a very light moisturizer at night, but can only use one during the day when it’s very deep winter. 🤷♀️ But at least I don’t have many wrinkles! Lol

Hello! Just another shout to the Ordinary, they too have a Copper Peptide serum. It’s called the Multi-Peptide +CopperPeptides 1% Serum. I used to use the “Buffet” serum, that was a peptide serum and a really good one, but as I’ve gotten older I moved to the serum with the Copper in it. They also have a Matrixyl 10% + HA- again it’s wonderful as well.

I've used Retin A since my mid twenties. I'm 62 and don't have many wrinkles. For some reason my skin loves it, and it's never drying. I'm also on a bioidentical estrogen patch for health and skin benefits.

Nearly the same here! I started RetinA in my late 30s and never quit. My skin is firm, line free, and so very exfoliated at age 70. It even fools new doctors as to my age. RetinA lies for me! ❤😅

I started using Retin A for acne when I was 13, and I never stopped using it because I was afraid the acne would return. It became known in the late 1980s it was excellent for anti-aging, but I’ll be 54 next month, so I’ve been using it for about 41 years. I have no crows feet, and few wrinkles but nothing deep. I also use HRT, but honestly, I don’t see the results of it the way others do.

You guys are just AWESOME! It's like going to see a dermatologist but online. You have no idea how much you have helped me. I've been a skincare junkie since I was a teenager and today, because of that I see the results. My skin has always been oily but of course, as I age, I see the difference, but I fight it because it's something I truly enjoy. Skincare for me is not a task but a pleasure. And I've had a routine for as long as I can remember. But I learn new things every day, thanks to your channel. Thank you!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

In other words there demographic is only for a specific age group generally 20 to 45. I am proud to be 62 years old and still look like I am in my mid fifties. Genetics. However, I look forward to any help you can offer now and in the future. Susan K 683, I agree with you wholeheartedly you should not be judged or thrown to the side because of our age. I love your Doctorly vlogs. One complaint on a brand Dr Shah likes... Qure. I purchased All In One Serum based on his recommendation. Qure dropped the ball... HARD. 3 of 4 bottles shipped (2 shipments) with non-working pumps! Effectively, $89 a pop, paperweights. Despite video proof, customer service was a nightmare. No number to call, no weekend support, no response to email, no expediting of the same complaint on a replacement order. Basically, no attempt at all to wow a new customer with their ability to problem solve. WOW!!!

Ok, so when are you two gonna make a one-and-done product with all these must-have ingredients?! Even after watching your, always informative, videos I'm left feeling like I need 20 different products. And I'm definitely not closer to knowing what order to use them in 😂 I'm in my early 40's but need a streamlined routine!!
@annapatton4544 Жыл бұрын
Agreed. I have more than 20 bottles and jars and don't know how to use them all properly, all seem to be nice and important, but I cannot put 5-10 products on my face in the morning or at night.

I agree also! Well said! I'm 64 and needing a streamlined routine instead of so many products and steps. It gets so confusing, expensive, and fear I'm doing more damage. I'm sure its more expensive to get the combination products but I'm amazed how the skincare market has exploded with these crazy products and steps.🙄😒

Application is to start with cleaning then either your retinoid or your exfoliant ( remember you're not doing both each night but retinoids for a few days then exfoliant i.e. on weekends then back to retinoids) then you do your serums- I don't know that the order of these matters much, but ideally use the one that has moisturizing properties to it first, i.e. use your hyaluronic acid before your vitamin C serum is what my esthetician recommends. It is okay to layer your serums. Then you moisturize! At night you can use your heavier night time stuff if you have that and during the day your "regular" moisturizer followed by your final step with your SPF/ sunscreen. Of course you omit the sunscreen at night. It helps me to write it down on an index card and I have it posted up as a reminder. Once you've done this for a week or so it becomes easier. Hope this helps!

In four weeks I will turn 75. Growing up when I did there was no sunscreen and I grew up in Texas, thus sunburn! I did start using it when I worked for a dermatologist in 1978. Apple stem cells have only been used in vitro so far. And as an in vitro researcher of 30 odd years, I can tell you that it does not necessarily translate to an entire body. Usually doesn't even translate to an organ and sometimes not even a tissue. So if you're spending any real money for that I would not bother yet. It will be probably 10 years before they really know anything. Plus note that the Apple stem cell replaced on human stem cells. And putting them on the epidermis is definitely not the same. Not in the least.

OMG--thank you both SO much for this video! My skin took a huge hit when I stopped taking HRT for menopause (I was having really bad side effects after trying multiple types.) I feel like I had aged significantly overnight, and my somewhat dry and sensitive skin suddenly became *extremely* dry and sensitive with some odd breakouts thrown in for good measure. All my favorite skincare products stopped working for me and I found myself on the tiresome and expensive journey of trying new products. Your routine will help shorten that journey a bit, and I feel good knowing it is a REAL dermatologists' recommended one! I now not all things work for all people so there's still some trial and error but not as much as there would have been with me going it alone. Y'all are the best-keep up the good work!

At my yearly check up last year, I discovered through my blood work that I was depleted of folic acid. I had always been tall & muscular. After researching, it causes muscle loss, along with other symptoms. Just a tip to have your blood checked yearly. It happened so fast that another doctor picked up on it that I had seen two months before & then I got a call from my primary doctor regarding the folic acid. So at 64, it went downhill in a couple of months.

Thank you doctors for this great video! One thing you didn't mention though is that the older you are, the more important it is to do regular skin checks, as skin cancers are more likely to develop when you're older. Then if you see something that looks odd to you, make an appointment to chat with your friendly, neighborhood dermatologist. Off to chat with my derm about how to incorporate some of these with my prescriptions!

What a chump I was - I followed this - Despite my skin never having previously responded well to water, I cleansed with Cerave hydrating cleanser, 3 nts The Ordinary 1% retinol in squalene, 1 night lactic acid + HA. By day three my face was burning and turned dry and crepey. Back to Ponds Cold Cream, Hyuralonic acid and a nice gentle moisturiser for me!

For moisturizer as I have super sensitive and rosaceous skin, I have found the Olay regenerous 24-hour peptide cream to work fabulously. There is a fragrance free version. There's also a night version with retinol in it. I have had dry skin most of my life and then had a thyroid condition which makes my skin look like an alligator. The Olay 24-hour peptide one does not irritate my skin nor does it give me milia and I am very prone to those. A lot of these products the guys are talking about give me milia. A lot of milia... Even on my neck and chest. So I just stick to the one that doesn't bother me.
