Yah love it But it was weird when he said the bucking horse on her shirt looked like it was having a good time. Horses generally buck because they AREN'T having a good time. And since that is clearly a rodeo shirt, that horse is having a terrible time as it's purposely being caused distress (some would say tortured) so that it'll try to buck the rider 4:43

What I don't love about the hydroplaning with the snowboards is that the snowboards float on water but they're strapped to the feet. This can make it difficult to actually get your head above water if you fall in.

that's why when i swim i practice doing it without my legs completely, just for something like that. like if i get thrown in the water and my legs are tied up or something. and i can tell you that yes, i can swim just fine without using my legs at all- i can keep my head above easily just using my arms
@tom_something
@tom_something 4 ай бұрын
@@remydeuce3056 The tricky part is if your legs are strapped to something that floats really well. If you do nothing, you're upside down, and it's almost impossible to stably keep your floaty-legs down in the water. So you'd have to bend your body to keep your head at the surface. It would be really awkward, with your feet and your head out of the water.

Ooh that's bad - ANYONE with a significant change in the character of their headaches/migraines NEEDS to be referred to neurology! I work in health insurance - in the UK, not the US where you're completely dependant on it - and it's something that we always agree to cover (as long as you've paid your premiums & it's not specifically excluded on that individual plan, etc.) Weird headache/migraine = scans ASAP.

When i worked at a daycare, i would do sinus massages on congested babies so they could drink their bottles. Learning these massages saved my sanity. You can't drink a bottle if you can't breathe out your nose. A hungry baby doesn't sleep. And a hungry, sleepy baby is absolutely miserable.

I have a friend whose neurologist thought she was exaggerating about her migraines when she finally was able to see a new neuro (because she got better insurance, thanks US healthcare🙄) they immediately ordered an mri and my friend had a tumor that was starting to push on her skull, she had to have brain surgery but she and her awesome mohawk are thriving now!

This is one of the reasons when I have a extended migraine they take MRI every freaking time. I don't usually have them, so when I do it's out of the norm so the neuros like to get all the tests. Luckily for me I live in Finland so I pay less that 50€, no matter the tests they take.

Not as extreme, but recently my little brother went to the clinic for an ear infection and the doctor told my grandma there was nothing wrong. My grandma kept seeing a white bump in his ear, looking through the otoscope, but the doctor kept denying it. Eventually, they had to go to the hospital later due to the pain and the doctor there said she was right. I've always heard stories like this and thought it was ridiculous how medical professionals could be neglectful, never thought it'd hit close to home.

I developed some hope for humanity last week. My wife and I were out for dinner. There was a man and woman in the booth behind us. I have no idea what she said, but the guy replied, "No, that's wrong. We're going back to my place and have a Dr. Mike marathon. You need a dose of truth." We both heard and just looked at each other with these goofy expressions. Then my wife told me to turn around and tell them about LegalEagle. I didn't, but it was still a cool moment.

Same. I’ve had terrible unilateral migraines since I was a teenager, sometimes 2-3 per week. I was never offered any scans or any more significant diagnosis efforts. I was finally diagnosed with lupus last year which MIGHT be the cause of those (and other symptoms). This was after going to my gp and insisting on specific bloodwork and a referral to a rheumatologist. It’s still going to be a long process but it’s nice to have some direction. One thing I have learned through multiple experiences like this, is sometimes you need to (politely) TELL the doctor what scans/tests you want to have done. If they refuse, go to someone else - a good doctor will work with you to help solve things and not just write you off. It’s really not their fault, most doctors really care and want the best for their patients, but usually they are working off of a tiny snapshot of your experience. I started keeping a symptoms journal in the notes app in my phone with dates/length of time/severity/ patterns/photos and that made a big difference. The more data you can give the doctor, the better they will be able to help.

When it comes to the chlorophyll, my mom went through one of those really intense natural medicine stages, and would give me some mixed with water on a regular basis. I remember that it tasted really pleasant, with a mild sweet taste, and it didn't change the texture of the water. And I was a teenager, so I don't remember having any benefits. But really, unless I just got lucky with the mixtures we got, 10/10 would drink it if it had health benefits.

12:08 fun fact: in dietetics, we sometimes tell clients or patients who are constipated to add flaxseeds to soup, water or yoghurt, even for some childreen. Sometimes it really does help because of the amount of soluble fiber in those types of seeds. Of course it's not a miracle cure, increasing the overall fiber of diet, having plenty of water and exercising will also help, along with other recommendations.

9:47 no joke, I once had a migraine that would not go away, I became desperate for pain relief and looked up a massage on KZbin and finally found one that worked for me. I the migraine went away about ten minutes after i did it and did it daily for five days until it went away. I was pregnant and nothing was working until o found the video. I cried from the relief.

We give patients with halitosis and patienst with complex wounds Chlorophyll tablets (Stozzon) to reduce the smell and most of the time it works wonders. Chlorophyll seems to be able to inactivate some enzyme activities that are responsible for body odors and halitosis. Of course they only help with the symptom of smelling not with the cause. But they helped us making the caring for people especially with ulcers less stressful for both sides. Of course odors are an important symptom when caring for wounds. 4:20

I'm glad you're finally making some positive comments on the homeopathic therapies in this video. Most of the time you flat out disregard them or say it's nonsense but I'm glad you're finally learning something❤❤❤ keep up the good work and stay on the homeo-path

Those ads as seen at the 10:40 second mark I find are increasingly present on KZbin. They are generally voiced over by AI and seem overly concerned about KZbinrs having to deal with foot fungus and other ailments. I find they are completely ridiculous. Personally, I’d rather go see a doctor if I have foot fungus than to listen to “recommendations” from these ads that seem completely made up. Unfortunately, many people believe anything they hear on the Internet so I’m glad there are people like Dr. Mike, who can clear up any medical misinformation circulating on social media.

12:33 Seeds and nuts does make me poop quite effectively, but the amount I have to eat them before it happens is not good. And it doesn't happen due to some healthy benefits in the digestion system. It happens due to stomach not being able to churn through all the seeds and nuts.

In Denmark the education as a physical therapist actually uses the last clip in text books. We are taught that inactivity at a healthy wieght is "less healthy" than being overweight (BMI 25 - 30) and highly, notice "highly" active, and it is expressed through life expentency.

Hey Dr. Mike I’m not sure if you’ll see this but I have had lots of raw skin around my mouth and I’m going to see a dermatologist but my mom thinks it’s rosacea and I have been putting neosporin on it. It worked kind of but just took away the dead skin and I was wondering if you had any advice. It would be great if you did and I will try to do everything you think might help or even get rid of it!

I normally have a really hard time watching the videos where people fall/get injured, but right now it’s even worse because I’m recovering from falling on the concrete floor at work and hitting my head and my elbow. Thankfully we have a contract with Medcore and call them for certain on the job injuries to get assessed by licensed medical professionals to see if we need further treatment/tests etc. at a hospital or urgent care etc. just to be safe so I know I didn’t get a concussion, but I definitely came close! Please be careful and take care of yourself if you get hurt, I speak from experience when I say better safe than sorry, because I once self treated myself after a nasty bike accident where I fell off backwards and landed on my back and my back has never been 100% the same since (but my self directed physical therapy using machines at the gym and certain stretches definitely helped me recover most of the way at least).

5:12 When Michael Bisping choked out Steve-O, the placement of his arm was actually not very good, making it more dangerous. The inside of his elbow should ideally line up in front of the trachea so that the pressure from his squeeze goes on those side arteries and not the windpipe, like you mentioned. Bisping's forearm was over the windpipe.

Hey, Dr. Mike, my name is John Burien. I noticed I haven't seen you cover anything about your views of naturopathic doctors. I see a naturopath, and he's absolutely amazing. I would love to see you do an interview with a naturopathic doctor and compare homeopathic medication to regular medications.
