Hey everyone, I've just rewatched this video, and I'm shocked by the spelling mistakes. It's not a good representation of me and my team. I'm considering taking the video down, but the comments are so powerful. I want to leave it up to you: should I delete the video, fix the mistakes, and make it even better, or leave it as is? I would appreciate your feedback.

leave it as it is Dr.Mike i believe that all of us get the goal and the idea of the video and no one is talking about the mistakes as not all of us are english speakers or it's not the mother tongue for a lot of people. so i think you leave it as it is ☺❤ an my why? is i was pre diabetic and my mom uses a wheelchair and her eyesight is not the best so i assist her with everything which requires to move her from bed to chair to toilet so her daily basis is done by me carrying her everywhere so i had to lose fat and gain muscles and also because when i grew up and get old i don't want to look for someone to help me like i do with my mom meaning i don't want someone to feel like i'm needy and i want to be the old woman in the future who go to the garden with her grandchildren and play with them carry them around and have fun with them 🤍

I'm a healthcare worker who was struggling to lose weight even though I was working out a lot and I'm perimenopausal too. Since watching your videos, I decided to make some big changes. I quit my night shifts and switched to days and evenings instead at the hospital. I figured I needed more sleep and wanted to give intermittent fasting a try and eat more protein. And guess what? It worked! I lost 9.5 kilograms in just 4 months! I'm so proud of myself and I have to thank you for your videos and the formula you shared.❤🙏🏾💜

I’ve been big since young and now I’m obese at 26. Two days ago I came across your channel that was everything I was looking for to help me not only start but at least stay committed/motivated to it because it’s just so simple to follow your instruction. I’ve never had a six pack or anything resembling abs and I am tired of this life. I will come back at the end of the year to update everyone on my progress as I’ve decided to start walking 10 k a day. I pray all my brothers and sisters find not only the courage but the determination to change because you cannot wait for things to happen. You have to go out there and change it yourself 🙏

It motivated me to get my shit through and actually start losing weight. On May 18th, I was weighing 101.2kg and now I am down to 89.5kgs of weight. Your videos have kept me going through, and will help me reach my foal of 70kgs. Thank you so much for the help!

Hi Dr. Mike! You'll probably never see this. I officially started started using your methods a week ago and the results are astonishing. I went from 100kg to 98.9kg and I feel like I can do this all the way to my desired weight (~85kg). I download your KZbin videos and I listen to it daily just to help me with my "why". Thank you and your team! God bless 🙌

The simplicity of your message is spot on. People eat too much too often. People are lazy, unmotivated and entitled. That said the latter points are changeable by doing the opposite. I have to chuckle at the 10000 steps per day as my minimum is between 35000 and 45000 steps per day. I have a dog that also has large muscles and must move. I am 72, well defined 6 pack and general muscularity.

My why was purely for saving me from depression, from failing to better myself, failing to feel good about my self, i needed to show my self my appreciation and the potential within me. I won me, i took off 49 kg of my shoulders. Please love yourself, be kind to yourself (with limits) and most importantly appreciate yourself

My why is simply to get a girlfriend. I’ve been overweight my entire life. I’ve had 2 weight loss journeys but regained the weight due to bad dieting habits. This time I’m finally drilling down on cooking and measuring. Every time I lost the weight.. it was night and day in how women treated me. I couldn’t believe it. My confidence shot up and I was finally talking and dating with the cute girls I always wanted. Mind you, I never wanted the “hottest” girl, just a cute girl. Aside from that.. everything else just felt better. Sex, sleep, breathing, daily movements, mood, clothes, etc. Overall I was a happier person. Currently I’ve lost well over 50 pounds from what I packed on during the pandemic. I’m about 30 pounds away from where I want to be. There are lots of failures, setbacks, and time wasted. But it’s all a learning process. You’ll understand it once you start it. It’s learning multiple skills and emotional regulation.

Yeah, it works. I find once you start the good eating, it becomes easier to continue. I can get so enjoyment from a salad these days and before I wouldn't even look at it. Pandemic lockdown time I ate toast, butter and cheese a lot, and thought I wasn't eating much, but actually it was poison that I'm still recovering from. That, combined with a severe lack of steps.

My wife took a photo of me and my daughter who was due any day. We both had the same belly. I realized if I was pursuing my wife today, I would have never let my body go like that. Also, my older grandkids commented that they had the younger version of me. I am now getting in “pursue my bride” and mobile and strong Popa shape once again! I want my wife attracted to me and my grandkids trying to keep up with me.

My WHY, (1) Health, 60lbs overweight for years also, had a heart attack in 2007, 3 stents. (2) I have 3 children and a Grandson, I want to be around. (3) I look fat and feel like crap, tired, no energy, I want to feel alive and fit again. (4) I want to get back into wearing my nice clothes. No advice from anyone would motivate me to take action. UNTIL THIS HAPPENED! I had enough !!!!! "A TRIGGER went off in my mind" and I took ACTION. I made my own weight loss schedule and since 1st July 2024 to date 14th August 2024 I've lost 20.3lbs. I still have 36.2 lbs to go (246.5/190). I'm results person, and actually seeing positive results for my efforts, TOTALLY MOTIVATES ME and keeps pushing forward. I WILL achieve my goal!💪 Thank you for your encouragement 👍👍

Good evening Mike, I was wondering on You tube and stumbled upon your video. I'm very thankful that God brought me to this channel. Not going to lie seeing the photos of your clients in addition to you informing us about your mother deciding to change her life brought tears to my eyes. I love hearing and seeing others become better. Now with all that said, I too have decided to take the plunge on this fat loss journey. Now you're probably wondering what's my "Why?" Number one reason is a healthier life, I'm 44 and much of my life I've been a bit over weight. For nearly over two weeks I've been committed to walking an hour for 5 days out of the week in addition to weightlifting for 3 times a week. After doing this routine and comparing it to your instructions/advice, I realize I need to clean it up a bit in regard to dieting and sleeping. I also need to walk for a week on daily basis along with adding steps. These past couple of weeks have been pretty cool and I can see small changes in just my attitude but I need to do more. Just to give you a brief background on my occupation....I'm an ESL Teacher in China (been doing this for 5 years now). The journey has been an amazing one but what will top it off is having a healthier lifestyle. So thank you for this video and I took a great deal of notes on your process...truly inspiring sir! I wish your mother much success too! Before I go, I just want to let the people know that I've been reading many of the comments and I wish you all continued blessings in your health journey. I also want to congratulate those who are continually accomplishing their goals. God bless you all! Peace!🙂

My why is I saw the scale at 230, saw what not caring quickly did to my health and self esteem, confidence, not being able to fit in clothes, seeing myself shy away from public because of the stress, recognizing that being at a healthy weight would benefit my career and business, and wanting to be attractive to my husband, and being an example for my children.

to change one's self as outlined in the videos is a meaning of life and death, and to realize how I want to change. Through food, how we eat and treat ourselves, a lot of our psychology is reflected. We clearly underestimate this in our socities.

My why was six years ago I had a heart attack “widow maker” and made the choice to change my ways and eat better and live better. I’ve been pretty disciplined ever since and my health has been excellent. I do struggle with the remaining belly fat I carry and try to do what I can to loss it. Now what hinders me from going all out is I’ve had two back surgeries and limits me to what and how o exercise and work out so it’s a struggle and I get frustrated but I keep on my mission. So my main “why” is my health keeping a great heart and my back in the best shape it can be.

I couldn’t lose belly fat for a decade. I was in a small calorie deficit but never got close to a 6-pack. Got a knee injury, forced to reevaluate my diet as I wouldn’t be able to do much physically. Went on a very low carb diet, I wasn’t even expecting to lose weight, just not gain weight. And I stopped drinking. I am down from probably 22% to 9% right now. It works. It’s easier than counting macros and micromanaging on a food scale. High protein, low carb, moderately low fat. Can’t go wrong

Started having some major back pain last year and made the first New Years Resolution of my life after the lack of sleep drove me mad lol. I'd be waking up almost every hour at night from my back tweaking and inevitably it started dragging every facet of my life downward. Mood, energy, motivation, etc. I've also had major depression and have been dealing with my fair share of trauma for the last decade, so self betterment was the last thing on my mind. I peaked at 348.9lbs as of January 3rd and swapped my diet over to something of a low carb/high fat and protein thing? Honestly I'm not sure of the detail or wording of it because fitness is new to me, but currently with calorie deficit (counting puts me at 2100 for the day), I'm now down to 285 as of today! The change is noticeable and under advice of my doctor, I have basically given my body a month to adapt to the 'sudden' weight drop because my body was yelling at me lol. I've just started up my diet again as of this week and I will be moving into exercises in the coming months and I just so happened to find your channel this morning. Looking forward to doing a deep dive through your content because I'd like to live long enough to take care of my family.

My 1 year story of August 1, 2023 - August 1, 2024 I just started carnivore 2 weeks ago. I’m eating no dairy, or veggies. I’m eating a cup of watermelon everytime I eat. I only eat one time everyday and that’s at 4-5 pm. And then every other day I skip eating all together. My results have been great. But let me back up last year August 1, 2023 I weighted 350lbs ish. I started by cal ride deficit of only eating 500 calories a day. And started every week doing something different by taking something bad out of my diet. To eventually now doing carnivore. I don’t know if I would have been able to just stop all of everything I don’t eat now. But in 9 months I weighted 190lbs. I have pics. Nothing short of a miracle in my case. I couldn’t. Do anything. I was in bad shape couldn’t move hardly without hurting and headaches and stomach hurting so bad I would cry in the bathroom trying to go. Diagnosis Hypothyroidism 1 month before I started and low low testosterone and swelling of the legs bad. When I say I couldn’t do anything that’s what I mean. I have two little girls and a wife I couldn’t play with them or jump on trampoline because I was too heavy and in major pain. I had knee surgery in 2001 right knee with that much weight I thought I was going to have to have another surgery. I don’t work because I took care of my wife. Severe mental health issues. Well she was starting her 3 months of getting ready for bariatric surgery. The pills were keeping her from losing weight. So that was the only way she thought to lose weight I being a good husband prayed a prayer that I would be healed and lose all the weight. Unbeknownst to me I would go one to lose 170lbs now. And her surgery got messed up and she had to have another in April. She’s down 130lbs now and even my two girls are doing carnivore. 12:00pm and 5pm. That’s the only time they eat. Best Health they’ve had. They would hurt in the bathroom too. Gut issues. They came on to eating this way with me. My oldest 10 year old lost 30lbs. And my youngest well…. She don’t need to lose weight so I implemented her a little different. She gained 5lbs. Which she really needed. So as a family we lost 330lbs. In 9 months. We feel better than ever before. I’m in better shape than even in high school playing sports. It’s amazing what one can do when motivated. Celtic and Baja Gold Sea Salt. I eat a red meat carnivore diet and have never felt any better in my entire life. No Carbs, and I’m preforming better at running and workouts and cutting fat faster than ever. No calorie counting. One meal a day or even skip a day Things aren’t what they seem. Let’s do this.

Mike, assuming one is strength training with intensity, doing so three days a week for 80 minutes, including 20 minutes of rowing in those sessions and maintaining a caloric deficit (MyFitnessPal) can one lose fat without the additional 10,000 steps?

Walking targets fat specifically. That's why it's so important. With intense workout u might also lose muscles mass so walking is just the backup to target the fats only. Walking is NEAT. So I advise you to not stop walking. It's the most underrated way of losing body fat not body weight

Excellent video. A big challenge or stumbling block for me is none of my friends/family care about being fit. So I don't have a peer group per se....HOWEVER when I examine my daily habits I have to own my failures which are always nutritional. BTW, I'm 70, love riding my road bike and lifting heavy things and 5-10lbs away from my goal weight.

I lost almost 2 stones in around 4 months. The only thing is, I have been off work for 2 weeks, and I am struggling to maintain a calorie deficit again 😒 Came back to your channel to re light my motivation.

Why? I used to be fit when I was in the Navy. I've been in a few car accidents pain defeated me. I let myself go. My wife and I used to be crazy about each other and now we are more like roommates. I'm not happy because I don't have the energy to play with my 7 year old daughter. I need to change because I'm pre diabetic and I'm tired of constantly being in the hospital. I want to stay in this world for my family. There are many reasons. I'm tired of being tired. I want to push through the pain. I have started my journey by getting rid of soft drinks. I stopped smoking and drinking alcohol. I probably need a bit more work with my diet. I've list weight but, I need to be stronger so I can feel better again. My age will be 45 this Sunday Aug 18.

You and dr berg are awesome my why broadly can be broken into two parts 1st being to see how the world changes as long as I can and that is possible by increasing the longevity of my life and the second is being a tad bit narcissistic vanity, I want to be the victim of double stare by strangers even when I am in my shabbiest of clothes.

FYI, if you're Asian, you need to drop your BMI to 25. 30 is considered obese by normal standards, but Asians are more likely to get complications from a lower BMI.
