I wish having the money to buy one of this one day, i love that bite in the rhode sound when you do aggressive staccato it's one feature that miss most sampled or modeling Rhode digital replica, on Clavinet you have that same humpf humpf when you hit the key harder, it's realy a physical thing...

It can be modeled and it's not that hard to do it. But the tricky part is that you need to tune it to proper velocity on you master keyboard which can be tricky as real piano mechanism is somewhat much more intuitive than typical synth keyboard.

I Fitted a QRS PNO Scan Midi to my 19071 Mk1 Rhodes a few years ago and have now just fitted the same kit to my Vintage Vibe. To play acoustic piano sounds mixed with the Rhodes is a sound NO digital piano can reproduce not even close. The actual response and feed back you get from a Rhodes seems to transfer to the digital sound source. Not a huge job to install but takes a fair bit of setting up to get it to play smoothly . The only reason I did this was I asked Rhodes if they would supply a Mk8 with midi fitted and at that point they said no.
