@Doctor Mix, Deffonatly the Organ Used on "What Is Love" Is From the Roland Sound Canvas! I cant remember exactly what organ it was, BUT it was I beleive a GM sound, If that helps mate, Im 99.5% sure the preset in question is "Organ 3" In the sound canvas, It deffonatly has the character of what was used in the original buddy, hope that helps!

the great thing about the high-rang sounds like all the percussive stuff and copper plates and hi-hats and rides is that it's easier to layer. they don't cancel each other as much as the low end sounds.

In 2020, the SynthMania channel sent an email to Tony Hendrik, asking where the organ came from, he replied that it came from a sample CD, but he no longer remembered the name. Now at the end of 2024, the ElectronicSupersonic channel found this sample CD, it is the Zero G Funky Elements, and there is the original sample of the organ. and also a while ago I asked Doctor Mix to reconstruct this song, so thank you very much :)

What I like about the organ sound and layers is that some of it reminds me of a lightly overdriven guitar - single coils or a jangly sound. The gated response gives me the sampled feel of the immediate cutoff. I’ll need to experiment with sampling my guitar.
