I'm back after a 15+ year break and EQ is seriously a very different game than when I left. I have fallen in love with it all over again though and I was curious what this 'overseer' thing was, so thanks for this, I found it very helpful o/

Welcome back! The overseer is something they put in the game to help people level up to 115. Once past 110, the main way to level up before overseer was to do do missions and get the achievements, but those were hard to do if you didn't have a group.

when claiming the xp reward you ALWAYS want to have your mercenary active at the same time, since you get the xp PLUS the mercenary xp (its listed under the description), witch is about double the normal merc xp, rendering the merc only xp option opsolete

Works at level 85 and you never need to leave the guild lobby :)
