The entire Pond family are my favorite companions ever. They all had such wonderful chemistry on screen together, with Matt Smith. It was gut wrenching seeing them leave, and the 11th Doctor seeing Amy right before he regenerated hit me right in my Doctor Who loving soul.

Amy's character development still blows me away to this day. I'll admit she was not my favorite when I first watched Eleven's seasons, but I've grown to love her so much. The young girl who ran away the night before her wedding with her raggedy man, stubborn and strong yet secretly a softy herself, grew into a woman who stood fiercely by her loved ones to the end. Love and miss her and Rory so much

9:00 Right when he finishes his speech and saying the Tardis could sustain the paradox, you can SEE in his expression that he's lying. Of course, it's a one-way video, so Future Amy doesn't see that. But you can see it in his face. He's clearly lying. Man, that's good acting. I've watched this episode several times over the years and I only just now picked up on this.

When I first read about the new Doctor band his companion Amy. Both actors seemed so young in comparison to previous Doctors and companions. Before the 11th was even half way through, I knew they were both absolutely perfect... I really do miss Amy and Rory so much. I loved their relationship with the Doctor and their daughter Melody aka River. Their departure really bkade me cry. It was the end of a fantastic era.

The matt smith amy pond era might go down as peak doctor who. Even over John Pertwee/Tom Baker. It was just a perfect storm of talent and momentum. Every line every beat every setting every performance was just perfect. The show has really gone downhill rapidly since. "That akward moment when you're shot by your wife, in front of your wife, who tries to kill your wife and your best friend is there pregnant with your wife (while drinking alcohol)"

Ahhhh a Strong female character, that doesn't push the "message", has a well rounded personality and a character development arc that was full of Iconic moments that will remain in Dr Who canon for all time.... it's Amazing what a group of talented writers and a show runner that knew what they were doing and cared about the subject matter can do if they get the chance. We can Only hope.
