This is art at his finest 👌🏿 I’ve started to document my life as well. But then again I love to live my life in privacy as well. I’ve been in the public’s eyes from when I was 19 years old till my 30th as a professional athlete. I’ve retired early because I wanted to work on my mental health and went off grid. I’m 37 now it’s been 7 years without any social media and I felt in love with life and being in the present moment. My moms passed away beginning of this year and I’m relocating abroad the country so I’ve been documenting my journey in the hope that I can help somebody who’s going trough the same or similar experience. i've been starting to document my life with videos from last year, and its so nice to have something to be able to look back upon. i completely relate to the point in being able to remember what happened in the past with the videos, you are able to remember the exact feelings or thoughts that went through your mind at the time, etc. cause even if its just a few months ago, theres so many things i've already forgotten. i've been slacking off in putting the videos together but you inspired me to make them again ! thank you :)

i agree. i've been vlogging since 2017 on and off and i always regret when i take long breaks. the memories you capture when filming your life are beautiful. a lot of times people i know in real life comment, "wow you film everything" like it's different or weird, and they sometimes feel a little uneasy in front of the camera because they're not used to it. but a couple years ago, someone very special to me passed away. his best friend ended up saying, "i'm glad you filmed everything because these memories are so special to me now." it can be a lot of work but i can't agree with you more. just subscribed! some of these shots looked like a movie, beautiful! and your finance is GORGEOUS.

What I find awesome for myself when it comes to filming or taking pictures is I have Aphantasia so I have zero mental imagery :D Memories are just descriptions with no attached emotions until I see a photo or video, the emotions of that moment then come flooding back as they seem coupled to the images in the brain.

Good message. Thanks. I watch so much content and like everyone, have thought from time to time that I could make my own, but hesitate due to the public showcase component. What a great idea to make content for myself or a private audience. There’s probably such a small fraction of users operating that way. For the journaling crowed, it would take the practice to a whole new level. Even if it just starts out as documenting family trips, or major activities it would really do so much more than the random photos and short videos we all make.

I started recording myself singing in concerts, just for a few seconds while the artist is playing one of my favorite songs just so l can watch it when l`m feeling depressed or don't remember much. started recently recording some stuffs about my daily life and keeping it just to myself. I caught on video 10 days before my dog passed away (the one in my profile picture) and he was so happy and full of life. I'll never forget. really, always try to record/take pictures from special moments
