What a lovely, hardworking and talented lady. When I watched Almaz Ayana destroy all in 2016 I thought I would never see a better female distance runner. Letesenbet has proven me wrong. Everything is perfect with regard to her form she is the epitome of grace in motion. Even more remarkably she has managed to keep breaking records whilst a civil war rages in the Tigray region. She hasn’t seen her family for over a year. I wish only the best for this wonderful runner

Ethiopians, given the right opportunity and space they can excel in most things. Some claim, Ethiopia is endowed with middle and long distance prowess due to Addis Ababa's high Altitude setting. Absolutely wrong, cities like Bolivia's Lapaz Perus capital Lima and the Swiss Alps are significantly in high altitude than Beautiful Addis Ababa( base for Ethiopian Airlines). I dont remember Gold winner from Bolivia or peru or Swiss. The most important point here, the Ethiopian way of training is not for the faint hearted very tough and rigourous, everyone commited, ok the altitude may give some some minimal benefit.Remember, it is well documented, Ethiopia is everything the Earth gives everything in one geographic location, high altitude, deserts green savanah, acidic lakes to name a few.
