I have always admired her performances on the track, but add her mental trials, it explains her absolute 1,000% output in each race. She is competing against some of the all time legends, otherwise she would be standing on top of the podium each and every race. May Letesenbet continue to shine and bring glory to herself and her family. 🎉🎉🎉

So glad I stayed on the video after you stopped talking about her races, her mental challenges surrounding her situation at home are something that I didn't know about. It's incredible all she was able to do considering that!

There are many aspects to her running that makes her really unique but she an excellent stride, power takeoff and very economical runner (very efficient) There are many runners (female) who can do as well as her, but she has been brought up (coached) properly. I believe that her best event is the 10.000 meters but eventually the marathon. She has the potential to bring it up to another level (she already did in the half) in the marathon around 2:11. I know I will be called stupid but believe me is coming soon!

Well wriiten. My feeling she could be the first sub 29 at 10k on the track and sub 2:10 at the marathon. Her half marathon and 15k records are just another level. She runs so economically and so elegantly...

The queen of running. Pleasure to watch her glide on any course. She is versitale but unfortunately i think Hassan is the biggest monster that will destroy marathon space. I would like Gidey to win more but i am fine with Hassan because she is good too

Henry Rono held four track world records all set in an 81 day period in 1978. 3,000, 3,000sc, 5,000 and 10,000 meters. No telling what he may have done with a competitor able to push him.

Quick fact: Tigray (pronounced as Tigrai) is a mountainous region located in the highlands of Ethiopia (high altitude) and people from the rural parts of Tigray grow up walking up and down mountains since there is limited access to transportation. This translates to most of Tigrayans from the rural part being naturally physically fit (endurance for long distances)

Whilst she is an amazing athlete, she is kind of unfortunate, because what seems to be her ideal distance is between 10k and the marathon. Obviously athletes can train differently for different events, but somewhere between the championship distances seems to be the place where she would be most able to excel. That said, this could change over time as distance athletes generally move up in dustance with age. It would be nice to see how far she can move on the 15k and half marathon records, but training specifically for those distances doesn't make any career sense. Now that things have moved on in the women's marathon, there is a lot for her to do to remain near the very top of that event, but she still has many years ahead of her and she can run 10k's for a while before becoming more marathon focused. It's difficult for athletes who have such range. Sifan Hassan is the similar with an even greater range, but neither her or Gidey want to focus on one event when they can compete so well at so many events. Hassan doesn't even seem bothered if entering multiple disciplines means she wins none of them, she'd rather just be competing and the same may be true for Gidey. Either way, I wish her great success in the future and look forward to seeing what she can achieve.

I’ve always been attracted to her elegant beauty. And felt her exotic mystique was a strong allure. There was something Royal about her countenance.

Exotic 🙄
@ebioniterevival64607 ай бұрын
It only looks exotic too us because we are conditioned to see only people with comparatively impoverished genepool. Listesenbet is a member of the group called Habesha who are known for rmhaving the richest gene pool in the world. A single set of Habesha parents can have offspring looking like any race in the world. Ethiopians believe that Adam, Eve, and Jesus, for instance, were all Habesha, and the first depictions of Jesus made him look Habesha.
