Docuseries with Dr. Sam: Scarlet Macaw Nests

Scarlet Macaws tend to look for cavities in Palm trees to later use these for nesting purposes during the breeding season. Many times, these will be dead palm trees; contrary to Great Green Macaws, who use huge, strong Mountain Almond Trees to nest in.
Today, you'll accompany Dr. Sam Williams and the Team in the process of inspecting and monitoring a Scarlet Macaw nest up in a Palm tree near our site in Punta Islita. In this video, you'll have a quick peek through the different stages of the chick's growth within the nest.
