When I was a toddler my dad would grab his guitar and play this until I fell asleep. I didn't quite understand the lyrics but I liked the melody, it made me feel at home. As time has passed this song has come with me on every step, every little hardship and joy of growing up. My fingers gravitate to the chords as I learn to play guitar and my eyes read it with awe as I learn english and finally understand. My lips hum it when I walk home alone back from school for the first time and on my first night away from home. My shaky hands take the microphone as I sing my first solo and my voice materializes the words. And every time, every single time I'm back in my bed, it's nighttime and everything's alright. Everyday the lyrics make more sense and they're also closer to my heart. Thank you for covering this song so beautifully... it takes me back home

I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Verse 2] I came across a fallen tree I felt the branches of it looking at me Is this the place we used to love? Is this the place that I've been dreaming of? [Pre-Chorus] Oh, simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on So tell me when you're gonna let me in I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin [Chorus] And if you have a minute, why don't we go Talk about it somewhere only we know? This version feels like a big hug after a heart break. It feels kinda sad but comforting.
