Oh dodie, you’ve been in my life for 8 years. Nobody makes me feel like you do. I’m so happy I got to see you for a 4th time in Boston. I wanted to scream, cry, dance, sing and feel again. I’ve been in a rut this year while working through a relapse of an anxiety crisis I had back in 2019 (it went away during the panini ironically), but your Boston show was one of the best days of my life. I brought my sister, who only heard your songs for the first time earlier that day (I let her take me skiing, so I dragged her to the show, since my original plus one fell through due to the snow reschedule). I’m getting better, I know I can get better (it happened before!), but it’s nights like that one that make it all worth it. Life is beautiful and special and grand. “We’re not bruised, they’re just party tattoos, and their colorful mess is just colorful regret.” 💙💙💙

i'm a relatively recent fan of yours (at least more recent than so many others who have been with you for 8 years-- i've been here for about 3) and I just wanted to say that I appreciate your authenticity, especially when you protect it with boundaries. boundaries for yourself, boundaries for us. As a fellow musician and artist, that's really special and honest. It IS a super weird feeling to write poetry/music about people you know. It's easy to feel strange or overdramatic about it, but oh well, c'est la vie. It has seemed like we've had a really similar year so far, at least in the emotions. I can't wait to see you March 25th! :)

It's really comforting to know that someone experiences those manic highs and lows and /deep/ feeling as much as I do. I've been feeling pretty lonely recently (probs a combination of SAD and... other things) but it helps to know that someone's in my corner, in a way. I know it's obvious that other people feel like that, but seeing it is a different knowledge from just knowing the truth of it in the abstract sense. I've missed watching these. Thanks dodes xo

And I feel so much validation for feeling the ways I do about life when I hear you voice the same thoughts. Honestly cried a little when you said "I just don't know anymore," because I've been struggling with that through the WHOLE pandemic. I used to be so sure of things, so hard-headed with the things I felt to be true, but now I feel uncertain about everything. Sad I missed you in Philly a couple weeks ago!
