Dodge Challenger Bumper Repair

A large section under the grille opening of this Dodge Challenger front bumper cover was broken in a collision. Notice that the bumper is bright yellow; an exceptionally difficult color to match. If we replace this bumper, it is likely that the paint we mix wouldn’t match.

This bumper cover was made of polypropylene plastic. You can use filler material to fill in missing pieces. You can use the airless plastic welder to weld or the nitrogen plastic welder to weld. Airless plastic welders are usually used by DIYers and nitrogen plastic welders are usually used by body shops.

Will this work on a polyurethane bumper

No, you cannot use a nitrogen welder on a polyurethane bumper. Polyurethane is a thermoset plastic, which means it does not melt.
