Dodge Challenger SRT Splits in Half after Fiery High-Speed Crash - 3 U.S. Marines Among 4 Killed

Four people were killed after a fiery rollover crash into a pedestrian bridge on I-5 in Downey
United States Marines were killed in a catastrophic crash on the I-5 Freeway in Downey early Saturday morning, returning from a concert in Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the scene, which happened at around 2:30 a.m.
The driver of a Dodge Challenger lost control of the vehicle and hit a guard rail on the southbound side of the freeway, slamming into a concrete pillar beneath a pedestrian bridge at Lemonran Avenue.
A California Highway Patrol statement reported that the force of the collision "caused the vehicle to split in two, subsequently ejecting the two rear passengers onto the right shoulder." None of the occupants survived. CHP did not immediately determine the cause of death.
Firefighters fought flames in the wreckage, where two victims remained inside, and a residual brush fire in vegetation at the scene. Caltrans crews closed two southbound lanes of traffic to remove wreckage debris.
Authorities at Camp Pendleton, the largest Marine Corps base on the West Coast. initially identified three deceased servicemen: Rodrigo Zermeno Gomez, 19; Joshua Leandra Moore, Jr., 27; and Daniel Nichols, 26; a fourth victim remained unidentified at the time of this posting.

Definitely not trying to be morbid but I wish so badly the entire crash from start to finish was caught on film including his body being ejected from the car and his shoe being knocked off. The only reason I think it isn’t disrespectful to watch things like this in the internet is because the majority of human beings DRIVE every single day and until they actually witness an actual fatal accident whether in person or on camera it truly doesn’t register how DANGEROUS driving is and to stop tailgating, stop getting on your phone, stop weaving in and out of people if they’re not going fast enough, use your turn signals, and don’t go faster than I would say 80 on the freeway and only go 85 if that is literally the entire flow of traffic and more dangerous to drive slower otherwise keep it at 75 to 80 and if you want to go faster DONT TAILGATE YOU PEOPE IN MICHIGAN I SWEAR TO GOD YOU ARE MORE LIKELY TO GET A FELONY FOR vehicular manslaughter FOR TAILGATING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED or any rate of speed you need a couple car lengths in between you and their bumper in case they have to break for an animal, a child, a car crash, a tire in the road, etc!!! Seriously STOP IT! I’d rather you speed your little heart out in a fancy car or big ass truck as long as your not riding MY bumper or someone I love or any other human being! They KNoW you want to go faster. Michigan is stupid and only has two to three lanes and about 100,000 semi trucks. Oh and not to mention the bumpy potholes and shittiest roads in America that make the ride feel like you’re on an African Safari like Jim Carrey in Pet Detective 2!!!! So you’ve got the left fast land, a middle lane of all the semi trucks, and sometimes a third one where people use it to go super slow or to exit. You’re freaking stuck between a semi and monster truck asshole wanting to go 90mph when the flow of traffic is at 80. Sometimes I want to go faster and the person in the fast lane refuses to get their ass over to the middle/right lane like a normal human being who is educated in driving etiquette and so I do not tailgate them! I’ll inch closer than what is normal to give them a tiny hint and if they don’t take the hint I back the hell off and get in the slow lane and gun it and pass them thinking why they’re such morons. But sometimes there’s a slow car or semi truck in the lane next to you and so the person cannot get over and terrified of you riding their ass. It creates the most intense and dangerous accident prone situation. I want to leave Michigan because if the democrats are crooked thieves who think they can fix the roads every 30yrs and because of how horrible the drivers are here. And the ones who are from other countries don’t even know the rules and so they don’t even care or know what is going on. It is becoming too populated in MI for the tiny ass two lane country roads and freeways. Houses are being built left and right and they’re just now working on the roads which will take a million years. They should hire all the workers from Southern California. Those construction workers are Latinos and they work their asses off and they get the job done quickly and efficiently because Orange County is or was run by Republicans. Cali is constantly doing the roads. And it doesn’t snow or have salt eroding the pavement! And here in Michigan they do it once every few decades?????? Who is pocketing this money? This is motor city home Henry Ford and Dodge and GM. It’s just so disappointing. I want to be proud to live here but it is run so poorly and has so much potential and people just keep voting incompetent imbeciles who are greedy and banking on you being stupid enough to keep doing what you do voting like your dadddy and grand daddy voted and ever wake up and change and ask yourself why Elon Musk is sending rockets to space and we have AI debates and leave 80 billion dollars worth of military equipment in Afghanistan, and send billions to freaking Ukraine and yet we can’t fix out bridges, train tracks, and Michigan ROADS??????

Again and again and again, people with far more money than sense and ability walk into a dealership and drive out with way more horsepower than they are qualified to handle. I used to be a professional race driver and was not allowed to drive my car on a before I could prove my ability to handle it safely and properly, at which time I was granted a competition license. A heartless as this may sound, if these wannabe racers insist on buying 700hp coffins to smear themselves all over the highways, so be it. Just don't share your deathwish with anyone else.
