I had a similar issue where the center bearing went out. The driveshaft was just banging around inside the center safety loop. I ended up putting in a 1-piece carbon fiber driveshaft from DSS. One of the best upgrades you can do for any Charger or Challenger. You can do it yourself even, as it's not complicated at all. Hardest part is removing the exhaust.

Same issue
@DJGRoc Жыл бұрын
@@tribeofbenjamin6 So you can either get a new 2-piece drive shaft, which could be covered under warranty depending on the model year & mileage of your car. Or just get an aftermarket 1-piece driveshaft. Aluminum or CF, doesn't matter. Either will make a vast improvement over the stock 2-piece. If you daily drive though, I would suggest going with aluminum though.

I know I’m late but I had the same problem. 2015 and up chargers and challengers you CANNOT change just the center carrier bearing anymore. You have to change the entire drive shaft (trust me I tried changing just the bearing on my +15 pursuit) a new driveshaft you can get from mopar direct for 800 dollars or an aftermarket 1 piece for the same price. It’s easy to do by yourself. 6 torx bolts connecting to the transmission. 8 torx bolts connecting to the rear end. Two bolts connecting the center bearing. There’s two metal braces that need removed and some exhaust brackets. Easy job just expensive

Turned out the rear knuckle was broken at the top, basically allowing the wheel to lean in at the top on any left turn, and the rotor was grinding against the the broken top. Fucking bonkers. They had to replace both sides because the replacement was iron(steel) instead of aluminum. Damn. I’ve had some fucked up shit go wrong on my car.
