Thank you for posting this, perfectly explained! I wasted about an hour trying to find how to do this on several forums for these old Dodges. Now I can finally clean under my trim. Subbed!

Awesome! Glad it helped. I searched for something like this too when I first got my truck. Thanks for watching!

Very helpful, thanks. After looking it over, I thought this was probably how it was done, but it's best to know "for sure" before risking any damage to the trim. I intend to paint the monotone light green metallic RF fender on my 1977 D200 adventurer to match the rest of the original medium & dark green metallic finish. And I'll probably reshoot the dark green metallic on the hood, cowl & top of LF fender while I'm at it. I had already replaced some of the clips on the wide aluminum lower trim so that pointed me in the right direction. However, I've worked on other vehicles where the upper and lower mounting methods were entirely dissimilar, especially when the upper trim was a spear such as what's found on these trucks.

Hey, thanks for watching! If you need new clips, try searching "D100 Trim Clips" on ebay. Hope that helps.

Good video. I wasn't saving mine so it was easy to take off. I did work Der what a guy would do if he was saving it

Thanks for good explanation. Can you tell me how to remove chrome trim around door and windshield, please? Do they come off the same way? Thanks

Thanks for watching. I'm not sure about the windshield trim. I haven't tried to remove it yet.
