Love that someone is finally taking the JTEC to the world. Yes I have had 3 R/T's it works like this you have to go FBO or nothing at all just like any other V8. Better off going 4BBL with a 2BBL adapter until you are ready for more air 1350 is way way to much air for a completely stock Magnum.

@@dtruth5769 cut back the runners...found that the plate sits 1/2" from the bottom of the runners.. didn't lose any torque and it really has a strong powerband at 3000 rpm.

Like i said in a earlier comment, its what i figured. All that air, with no cam or heads to take it in and spit it out lol. And no stall it falls flat on its face. But that's it now, its boost time 👍

Bit by bit, front leveling kit, stock tires, rear lift blocks vs stock tires, and vice versa new wheels and tires, now new control arms, diff drop spacers, and shock extensions. Ruling out vibrations and ride quality. I'm installing new tubular control arms tomorrow. Very excited 👍

This is a single plane manifold all the gains will be from 4500 - 6500+ rpm. You need to have tune and trans set for higher rpm. Not to mention you're running 1/8 miles which doesn't get a chance to use the gains you have in the upper rev range much...

It’s gonna take some 4.56s a stall to get those 60s down , to get out the hole faster, also, I remember on our stock TBs and any other one, we use to drill the dowels/screw guides out of the tps and swap screws with washers and turn it up, I have a 4000 PATC billet stall if you think it would help

With the extra block. You build a stroker motor change it from the 360 to a 383 you have to butterfly the bottom of the block so the rods don't hit

I did a 2 barrel m1 and a small turtle mod to the intake and accommodated it with a fast 52mm throttle body and ran a 1.98 60 foot I also went with mopar tri y mid length headers true 2.5 inch exhaust and mopar pcm swap with a mechanical fan delete in a 2000 rc turtle mod may be something to look into

+BoostedMotorsports definitely higher stall torque converter, and exhaust. At the CFM level of the throttle body, go straight to boost.

I'd actually like to see you put all of the supporting mods first ( full exhaust, adjustable 1.6 alum. roller rockers, and 2800-3000rpm trq.converter) minus heads/cam and see what difference that makes before throwing boost at it. Do you not have a 1/4 mile track near you? I never liked running my old R/T at the 1/8th because of how much better it pulled on top end in the 1/4.

I hear ya! Since we have a lot of parts already sitting here ready to go on we will throw these ones on and then continue to gather more go fast parts for the build. If we pull the trans for the stall I'll probably beef up some of the trans internals at the same time. We are going to be doing heads, cam as well in the near future as well as full fuel system upgrade and e85 conversion 😈

It honestly sounds like the truck is short shifting big time. It's kinda hard to read the tach and speedo. But it sounds like the truck is shifting into 3rd way too early. Like 60-65mph. It should hit 5k in second at about 70mph.

You have a 7000 rpm intake manifold on an engine that has a camshaft with about ..440 lift at the valve.. The cam is dead at 3500 rpm..the intake doesn't start until 4000 rpm...everything under 4000 has been lost!!

My 98 5.2 did 16.8 in the full quarter with an exhaust so I took the exhaust off and it ran 16.2 with the exhaust just out the y pipe the magnums pick up lots of power with almost no exhaust on them a cut out would be a world of difference

You got 2 options with the supercharger... option 1.. Put 3000 stall with SC to get out of the hole!! Or option 2..Put the kegger back on ..stock converter..with SC and gain your 100Ft Lbs of torque back that you lost.. to get you out of the hole!! The SC will take care of the top end!!

Absolutely go full send now what the real question is are you going to stay stock long block and see how far your limits are? Or are you looking to go even faster than that? If so you need to realize that any Magnum cyl head is to small to make big power. That being said be prepared to convert your new Magnum to LA intake bolt pattern, LA oiling, ECT so that you can use the real go fast stuff offered for the LA style magnums IE W2 cyl heads you can go that route and consume as much boost as the block and bottom end will take.

The 46re is a redesign of the 727 transmission which is used in drag cars the 46re has overdrive for the 727 does not he probably needs to put a shift kit in the transmission and I definitely recommend a transmission cooler to keep the oil from getting too hot and hazing All the clutch discs
