Yes, the stock demon tires a very good for launching, they have very high grip, they are almost drag radials for the street, but that Mustang with that insane about of additional HP is going to have some wheels and tire upgrades. He is most definitely running a tire that is very close in performance to the stock Demon. They are even in the launching department, maybe the Mustang will spin a bit more due to less weight and more power, but it will be a minor different and it will more that make up for it with better acceleration. A heavily modified car with always beat a stock car no matter how much power it comes from the factory because the modified car is tuned for speed in every possible way.

Considering HP Is a function of torque that tells you how good the engine is at using it’s available torque, yes I’m still impressed by big HP numbers. In a roll race, if everything else is equal, the car with the most HP will absolutely win even if it doesn’t make more torque.

If I have a 600whp 2700lb vehicle going against a 800whp 4800lb vehicle and the drivers are equal skill level it’s almost guaranteed that the 2700lb vehicle will win. Now of course trans type (manual vs Auto) as well as gearing will go into the race but even that shows that it’s not all about horsepower. Although I’m sure you’re some sort of KZbin expert engine builder and you’ll come and refute the physics involved in racing and say it’s all hp

Your mustang is making crazy power and is badass but im curious how reliable it is while making that kind of power. I see a lot of cars that are crazy fast but after a few pulls on the track they breakdown. Also the demon is designed to race from a dig because of the 3.09 gears. Im pretty sure your mustang would still beat the demon at the drag strip but i would be willing to bet something would blow up on the mustang after about 10 hard runs on the track. Now a demon like Demonology’s has probably been down the track over 100 times and continues to run strong. On my hellcat i do plan to mod it to make it faster but maybe just add an extra 100hp max so that it can still be reliable and be able to race the hell out of it. its 3.09 because its an 8-speed. The 6-speed manual Hellcat has 3.73 gears if I recall correctly, with the option for 3.90.

They’re meant to go a quarter mile from a dead stop. Not to do 60 punches and they are not heated for high speeds. The hellcat has a higher top speed than the demon due to gearing. So I’m sure you can see what they’re made out to be. A drag car really plain and simple. Demons are one trick ponies.

Nice roll! Wondering if you beat the car or the driver. Six car lengths sounds decisive. But, I’m sure the demon backed off. Maybe I’m wrong. A drag strip and both on drag radials or a controlled roll race would be the true test.
