Dodge Durango radiator replacement. Overheating? Fix it.

In this video, I go over the steps to remove and install a radiator in a 2007 Dodge Durango. It was a bit of a struggle at first, but became a lot easier as I figured it out.

I watched your video last week. I ordered a radiator from eBay for 70$ bucks. I did what you said and now I’m up and running good. Also changed the temperature coolant sensor. My 2004 slt 4.7 is running great. Also had to burp the radiator..! 💯Thanks

It is amazing how much stuff the engineers can come up with to layer on top of something you want to remove on todays cars. Something you can touch and see right up front but three other things have to be removed before you can remove what you want to replace.

I wish I would have watch this excellent video before I replaced my water pump on my 07 Aspen. It would have been a much easier job, especially removing and re-installing the Fan Clutch - a nearly impossible job with the limited access room between the shroud and engine. I now have to replace the radiator as I damage it from multiple drops of the Fan Clutch trying to re-thread it on the water pump. I should be able to wiz through the radiator replacement thanks to this very instructive video.

Lots of fun on those. There is nothing conventionally designed on the Durangos. They were just stuffing parts in where they could. They didn't have room for a regular radiator so they made it really narrow but tall and no room for the AC condenser so they shove it off to the side. I tend to stay away from working on Chryslers due to their oddities. But some things on modern cars re easier to replace because of how they have made assembly easier. Instead of hard to get to bolts they put clips and slots in for stuff.

Did u have any air pockets in it? Like how did u bleed the air bubbles out of it?

Typically I jack up the side with the filler neck. Make that the high point and fill from there. Run and recheck.

So my bottom hose on my 07 Dodge Durango fills like it has something hard in it. Idk what it could be does anyone know

Sometimes there is a protective piece where it could rub on something.
