MSRPs can be lowered quite a bit by de-teching a base model. Give me analog gauges, no screen, real buttons to push and knobs to turn. I don't want or need an always-on WiFi connection, a unique Bluetooth ID, or built-in GPS. All of those things are surveillance & tracking. Wait until Congress passes a law requiring the kill switch, which is only possible with all this tech. Mileage allowance, distance from your house permission, and prohibited days of the week for driving. It's all coming. Bookmark this comment, and come back in a few years to ask me how I was able to see into the future.

All of the vehicles are at least double overprices, the $50k hornet should be like $23k, and even then at $23k there will be a huge depreciation hit after a couple years because it is Stellantis product, also taking the v8 option away from the truck line is a huge mistake, the same dooming mistake Toyota has made

The cost increase of new vehicles over the last 10 years makes no sense. During that period Social Security Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA) has increased by 26%, which I'm sure is pretty much inline with worker pay increases, if even that much for most employees. A Dodge Ram 1500 has increased by more than 50% and that's just the MSRP!
@mikewest65695 сағат бұрын
Not long ago, you could get a well optioned pickup for 40k. I know all cars went up in price, but why has the pickup been singled out to be the leader of the price increases. This is a high profited item for all three companies. The body on frame design is cheaper to produce. I don't understand why they are stepping on the dicks of the consumer?

I surprised dealerships haven't went to some kind of time- share model of sales. Like, for $400 a month you get one week, $600 s month you get 2 weeks, $800 3 weeks. You turn it back to the dealership when your turn is over, then the other time share owner takes it. Laugh all you want, nothing is off the table anymore.

I sold my 2017 4Runner Limited 4 months ago. I put 120k miles on this car. Maybe it’s reliable but man… I add all my gas spending over 7 years I’ve had this car and it was $25k!!! I sold this stupid truck and bought a 2024 Tesla Model 3 LR AWD. My electric bill is $40 per month to charge Tesla. I will save over $3k a year. In 7 years over $20k saved!

As of now, charging stations and time spent charging on trips is a major downer. Then, down the road, maintenance and repair costs will be astronomical. Not sure the early on savings will offset the total expense in the long run, but I do hope it works out for you.
