Just realized I'm on my sons acct but anyway THANK YOU SOO MUCH!! I had my truck read & it's the right speed sensor & didn't know if this was something I could do myself until now! The mechanic showed me 2 different sensors but they didn't look like the one you showed so now I know what to get. Seriously can't wait for the lights to go off & have my cruise control back! Thanks again! Now I just gotta figure out why my airbag light keeps going on & off

Sigh. Ours broke as well. Some being tight haha yeah ours was wedged so bad then broke then the broke piece fell off ...somewhere.. any chance this isn't a whole new wheelbearing due to lost sensor in rear left or if it fell is there no way to access it without ruining the bearing and rotor?

Hey David I have a 2010 dodge ram 3.7 two wheel drive pick up just a work truck. I keep getting a U1418 code i have replaced the sensor checked for power cleaned the tone ring. the light will go off and then shortly come back on again UGH what I'am i missing I will be checking the other left side today but I,m shooting in the dark here. Love the video on the cabin filter helped me fix mine took the fear out of working on something new ( I have a 64 Valiant) Keep up the fantastic work cheers Jim in Canada

My fiances 07 Nitro had the ABS, Traction Control and ESP BAS light come on today. She got 4 new tires a week and a half ago. I am digging into it tomorrow but what would your first assumption be? Mine was speed sensors but I'm not sure. I don't have high end scanners so I'm going to replace all 4 sensors and cross my fingers. much thanks, im a decent mechanic, but I figure having an idea of how things are set up won't hurt when crawling under. pretty much a generic set up, but I've never seen a sensor of that style before. I've got ABS, ESP, and traction lights on right now, so I'm going for speed/abs sensors, then on to the brake switch if that doesn't fix it. Ive only got a $250 scanner so I'm planning on using my power probe or multi meter on another sensor for a bench mark and comparing from there. anyways thanks for the video. you're doing great, if you read this and have any imput, I'd app the insight.

The most common cause is the speed sensor. You just need to narrow down which one.....checking the codes would be the best method for that. Then you can just replace only the needed sensor.

The symptoms can be different sometimes. First step will be getting those codes checked. Then we have a path to go down as far as checking things out. Thanks for the question and for watching

It can. I would check for codes first using a high end scanner that can access all the control modules to see is any thing shows up, that would give a direction to go in and then also monitoring the speed data would helps as well.

If I know where’s it’s at is it possible that I can do my own replacement or check on that part from time to time? Another thing I do not no where the sensor/ harness is located. I’ve seen mechanic crawl under a use tape as a temporary fix or I think it was to support the wires better from getting wet... what can I do? Jerico Anciro The first step is to see what the codes are causing the warning lights to come on. If it is a speed sensor code then the procedure would be the same of the rear. The front replacement is different but simple enough.

It depends Jose. A bad speed sensor can affect a lot of different things. It will require starting with scanning for codes and then going from there. If you get a wheel speed sensor code then I recommend replacing being that its a common failure.

There should be a sensor in each corner at each wheel. I recommend checking the codes to see if the issue can be narrowed further.

The advice was great,but infortunetly this was not what I needed. I had a code C2200 & U0121 and was told i needed a ABS module. I know a replacement would need to be initialized some where, but I cannot find a vid on how to replace. Do you have one or can you create to show the step needed?

So did it pull out all the wires....couldnt because it wouldnt even run at this point....or just the fuel gauge wires? Depending on the way it pulled it out...you may have damaged terminals on the wires. If thats the case the the fuel pump connector pigtail may need to be purchased and then soldered in place of the old one.

Its a fairly simple job being that the t-stat is located at the bottom of the engine where the lower radiator hose goes to the engine. The t-stat housing is plastic and has two bolts. hi, my 08 nitro started to fluctuate speed while driving. would this be a fix, I have codes c1070, c2115, and c2101, which are brake pedal switch, dynamics sensor supply, and battery voltage. where would I start?

The voltage codes would be where I would start. Checking the charging system to make sure no higher then normal voltage is recommend. We also need to clear the codes and see how soon they return. From there the voltage at the ABS module needs to be checked to makes sure its not higher then normal as well. If all checks okay then the ABS module may be bad and need replacing.

The only way to really test one is with a lab scope. I don't remember about the ohm readings. In some cases you can check it simply that way while others you can not. One way to see if it's possible is to disconnect the other speed sensor on the opposite side and see if you get an ohm reading from it and if so.....compare that reading to the questionable sensor. I have a 2009 challenger with a code for right rear sensor. How do you pull the right and left connectors down where they go thru the car floor connection?

If you look closely you will see a metal clip that goes thru the side of both of them while they are sandwiched together. You just push in on the middle flat spot of the metal clip and then pull the two connectors out. Worse case scenerio you can remove that metal clips to get the connectors off and then reinstall it before pulling the connectors back in. Thanks for the question and for watching.
