Hey Scott just to pass on a couple of things I learned doing this. In the areas enclosed on the frame flooding those areas with bar chain oil for chainsaws. And when you edit your videos I found out you can adjust the volume when you talk.I think your videos are really good,I figured I would pass on information

Thanks for the advice! Yeah my audio is always a struggle but I have gotten a better camera since so that should also help. Hope you have a good rest of your day!

The muffler mounts double as clamps and mount inside the frame rail. The hanger for the end of the pipe goes on the outside of the frame rail. I show a little bit in my latest video.

What’s that angle iron bracket on the passenger side? Doesn’t belong. Looks good!

Why not just use a floor jack and block up the cab. Love the old Dodge
@DIYSCOTT4 жыл бұрын
Definitely could've done that. I was planning on taking it all the way off at first but realized that I didn't need to

Wish I saw this sooner haha. I ended up buying a reproduction tailgate and front panel and got the bedsides from legacy classic trucks but they are really rough

Sorry you don't like it. The truck was going to be completely parted out but it was saved. I am by no means trying to perfectly restore this truck. I don't have the tools, or the expertise. Yup I used rattle cans and I am sure the frame will maybe still rust. It's an ongoing project. If you have any advice or tips I would love to hear them because I am not going to pretend like I know what I am doing.

@@DIYSCOTT . . . . I am glad you saved this truck from going to a wrecking yard. Keep trying your best. You will learn as you go and you WILL get better at it. 👍🍻

@@lenBrill1971 Thank You! I am really glad I saved it too. Some people don't understand that I don't have the money, skills, or expertise to make it a perfect show car. lol Glad you enjoy the videos and the truck I should have an update video coming out soon :)

yes he could disassamble everything and sandblast it and so on. but hes using at least a good product and he cleaned the frame up. thats ok for the moment. some years later he can do it again and better.
