Easy fix for door locking and unlocking issues

I took your advice. What a life saver! I had been losing sleep over this. I subscribed to your channel. Unfortunately, it only worked for a little while. I pulled it back out and noticed the new one has a burn mark now too. I see in the comments a few folks had a similar problem. One person said he resealed them fuse. I’m try to figure out what that means. Another person said he used a bigger fuse. After researching a bit I think using a bigger fuse is a bad idea. I hope this comment helps someone else.

I hope this works for my issue. All I know is I opened the slider for the first time in two weeks and this issue poped up right after. Couldn't lock the doors, instrument panel said sliding door opem when I slammed it shut several times. So happy for KZbinrs like you who save us time and money spent needlessly at the dealership. Thank you. I will report back.

Thank you. Just brought my new used 2015 PM yesterday. Could not get doors to lock. Searched for YT help and found your video. Pulled 15A fuse, checked okay, reseated and lock is now working. So reseat did the trick. Would still be looking without your help. Again, 🙏🙏🙏

You can continuity test fuses with a multimeter without pulling them out 💪🏻

the fuse box door doesn't say what each fuse is for and the owners manual is on dvd. not very helpful if you get stranded and don't have a dvd player on hand!! i searched for some info and your video came up. thank you so much!!!

I’m having problems with my doors not locking. The dashboard light says sliding door is open and it is showing me a door open symbol on the dash. Do you think replacing the fuse number 15 will fix that

Paul, I have a kind of similar issue with my Fob Blinking Lights when locking, They stopped blinking, they just stay on until I push button a second time. PLEASE HELp!!! Thanks Neil D.

I have not seen this before, try replacing the battery in your fob. Also keep the battery out of the fob for 10 minutes so it can revert to original programming. I’m not sure about the fiat wiring or programming

I assume this fuse is hot? Is there any need to disconnect the battery first or can you just pull the fuse right out?

All doors need to be closed or none of the locks will work

2019 Ram promaster I bought today... Side and rear doors will lock but will not unlock via fob. Have 4 fobs and it's the same with each. Driver and passenger doors are normal. Probably not a fuse... But posting because it's related and maybe someone will have a solution.
