I tried them, but they were blinding to others after a test drive with my buddy passing me. He was in a car and said they were very bright especially from the side. I went back to the standard housings with LED bulbs to keep the clean look on the truck.

This was my guess also. Ive seen tag led lights that when i pulled up to the rear of a truck, im like, thats way too bright!

If you have a factory towing package on your truck you have to navigate all around it but it is the same principle but a lot more complicated to get the clip in correctly 😅

They are pretty bright...look good and only way no one will see your plate is if you put it in the back seat...lol...some people are just worry worts....plate or not do something dumb in front of police you gonna get pulled over good video Jon do as many as you can more views more review for the house and big shop build....seen a nice 3 Bay with covered car port metal building high cieling for lifts and compressor room and shop tool area like jacks,oil drain buggies, transmission jack, long wall work bench with peg board backing for tools at bench.... pretty nice setup think it was 40x100

I will only ever use OEM license plate lights. Anything else is a sign to cops that you frequently get pulled over for tag lights or other violations. Therefore have now spotlighted the plates as a giant F you to the cops. So I really don't want to display anything to be construed as a giant F you to the cops. So I can go about my day peacefully.

It's not that I want to hide my plate, it's that I find it foolish to draw attention to, or highlight the most unattractive part of the vehicle. (the tags)

If it's unattractive, you could always try a custom plate. Here in Texas we have some nice looking options. Not sure about other states
