I'm 75 years old and harvest season never gets old. It's wonderful to watch your drone footage. When I get to Heaven, I'm going to ask if I can just sit and watch planting and harvesting.

The receipt printer had me going into full farmer fix mode: a small box with drain holes drilled in and some 3M double sided tape and presto a receipt catcher. Now that I got that out of my system, congrats on the harvest and here to more smooth sailing.

Great to see your ideal harvest weather, here in South Australia it won't stop raining so the harvest probably wont be starting until December. Nicer than Drought though just sayin.

What a great feeling it must be to have a low stress, apparently bountiful harvest and great weather. Thanks as always for taking the time to share your life with us. Over the years I have followed you, I have felt like you and I were farming together. Your vicarious partner, Bob

I love harvest time in Iowa. Just a great time. I will be in Palo Alto next week for pheasant hunting. I agree corn is king, it makes great tasting beef, pork and pheasants. ANF.

to straighten the header, 1) remove sickle, 2) take guards off in the affected area and another foot or so. 3) get a small chain (just big enough for the guard bolts to go through and a 5 - 10 ton hydraulic jack. 4) put the jack on the top of the hump, bolt the chains on each side at the start of the straight areas (over the top of jack) and do a little controlled jacking. It seems you need to ack it into a reverse bend then let off. With a little practice on chain placement and how much jacking you need to do, you can get it really straight again. We do this at least every year on our header, always hitting rocks, no need to replace the pan as JD will tell you. Doesn't weaken it at all.

Mmmm. You've harvested many meals there. I hope our cornbread has some of your corn in it, but no matter, it's the thought that counts.

I am curious what kind of two-way radio you jave there in the combine. Doesn't look like CB, but some newer CBs look a bit more modern than they used to. Is it business band?

Try threaded rods on each side of bend back bone with a very stiff piece of heavier steal on top of rods then put a hydraulic jack sitting on the bend and top of jack on the heavy piece
