I dig his New York Giants throwback cap. Still strange to think that back in 36, the Giants cap was blue and white lol.

I am so lucky to have been able to listen to Vin for the entirety of my 50 years. Dodger baseball will never ever be the same without him. He is a true American treasure.

I'm the same age as you and an LA native, so he has a been a part of my life ever since I discovered baseball as a child. Someone said it best the other day when they said that in spite of Vin's humility and his insistence that he has always been just an observer of the game, ironically he is truly the real-life version of Roy Hobbs, The Natural. When someone such as ourselves talks about Vin to his children or grandchildren, he'll say, "you see that guy? That's Vin Scully. The best there ever was." Enough said. My summer afternoons and evenings will never be the same. God bless you, Vin.

unfandenatacion I agree with you. There will never be another Vin Scully for a long long time. Vin is a true legend, an icon. Vin belongs on Mt. Rushmore. Vin is a treasure.

I REMEMBER LISTENING TO THE LA DODGERS RADIO NETWORK FROM 2002 UNTIL 2016 WHEN VIN SCULLY CALLED HIS FINAL GAME WHEN THE LA DODGERS TOOK ON THE SAM FRANCISCO GIAMTS ON 10-02-2016 AND THAT GAME WAS ALSO SIMULCAST ON KTLA 5 AND KLAC AM 570 LA SPORTS.

As a Phillies fan one of my favorite parts of the season was the road trip to LA so I could put on the Dodgers telecast and listen to Vin call the game. I'll miss Vin as much as I still miss Harry. God bless.

There are three iconic voices that a shy, lonely little boy who grew into a lonely man recalls. Most people can point to wonderful childhood memories with their close friends but I’m proud to say my best years were accompanied by Vin Scully, Fred Rogers and Bob Ross. Wholesome, loving and passionate about what they do/did. I never lived in LA, I have no reason whatsoever to be a Dodger fan. Vin did that, Vin IS ALL the reasons I love baseball and waited all day to hear “It’s time for Dodger baseball.”
