God I love this woman so much. So genuine. So straightforward. Evolving as a person at the same time as dodie is an honor and a privilege.

So wholesome. I wish we could work out a way to do celebrity interaction which wasnt so stressful for both parties. I met dodie once when she was opening for bry and it was lovely but awkward and dodie was clearly super stressed because of the lines of fans and fans crying and stuff. It was a really overwhelming experience, though she handled it as gracefully as she could. I hope things can be a little less intense post covid

I met Dodie at Disneyland back in October 2019. She is truly such a beautiful soul and I will forever cherish that moment. I hope no matter what, she knows we support her during any phase of her life just as she has unknowingly supported us.

I'm always thinking about Dodie in the back of my mind, wondering how she's doing with her dpd etc. And I just feel so so bad for her and if I had gone though everything she's gone through I could never be as positive and as graceful as she is. I have so much respect for her. I love her book and it makes me cry every time I reread it. I've grown up watching her, jack and Dean, Evan, hazel (reading her AND Savannah's endeavours, which I love) and lovely Sammy, and Bertie, and as a lil Essex girl I relate to them all and being the same age as Hedy I feel like Dodie is a big sister to me even though I've never met her (well I have seen her in concert back in 2018.lol). She's just such an inspiration. She deserves everything. She's really created a community and I support her to NO end. I love her and I love the whole group and honestly back when I was still young her videos taught me about so many things, from mental health to sexuality, to feminism, to loss, and her music has guided me from the ages of literal 11 to now 17. I get her, I feel like she gets me again even though we've never met. I wear my two tour t-shirts with pride and I boast about her and I want literally nothing but the best for her. Bless you Dodes. Wherever you are I hope you're doing ok. Don't ever worry about your music because we are all here to support you. We're so excited about the new album, WHENEVER it comes, the new more percussive routes are SICK and I can relate to the lyrics so much of the songs. Lots of love.

ahh i feel the exact same way! i started watching dodie when i was 11 with videos like would you be so kind and tell me a story, and i soon became a fan of her whole friend group. i still re watch baking with layton videos, sammy’s board game videos and just all of her chatty videos on doddlevloggle etc because they’re so funny to me and they comfort me a lot. i’m 15 right now so being a year younger than heather almost makes me see dodie as a big sister as well in a sort of way, and her videos have taught me so much about mental health & growing up, whilst also reminding me to stay present and enjoy being 15. her book is so great too. so yeah i relate to a lot of what you said as i’ve had a similar experience with her videos & music aha!

always nice to get some more insight to her work :) super excited to listen to it really appreciate the insight into her depersonalization since it's something a lot of people including myself struggle with but and it's so hard to explain, especially to other people ^^
