Great review! Quick question; are the mute switches muting the signal going to the single outputs also? I was thinking of using this model as an effect send, and use the "single b-outputs" as multi of the signal going in to my other mixer as a dry signal. I wonder if this is possible?

sorry for late reply, just seen this.. the switches are muting the whole signal input. so if switched off, unfortunately the signal is neither in the sum nor the single out.

Very well explained, thanks. How are these features like the type A/B single outputs actually useful in practice?

you can realize different submix combinations, if you f.ex. want to patch only one of the channels into another effect, or all channels except one, etc.

The single outputs could be used as individual attenuators. It could also be useful with cv mixing. You could have a complex waveform at the mix out comprised of inputs 1 & 2 (plus 3 & 4), and route your secondary B outputs for 1 & 2 to another destination without disrupting the mix output.

Is it possible to use the output as a headphone out, or is the signal too hot? Would I still need to have a separate headphone out module to lower the signal?

no it´s not suitable for headphones - besides the high gain the module gives out a mono signal.

Hiya, I was wondering if you plugged in all cables to the single out A lines, if the B line (and so the final two mix outs) would count as a mult for their respective inputs.

B1 and B2 are multiples from the input channels 1 and 2, but if A1 - A4 are all patched up, all channels are removed from the sum, so there would be no signal at both sum outputs.

the module doesn´t record, but sure you can use first mix output for dry sound and from the 2nd mix output you can patch into effects
