It doesn't look "fast" because the pull is up a good grade. However, that's not the point of this car and on a back road it is plenty. I don't care how fast Tesla is, it will never sound like this.

Love it! People often forget that over the 25 year lifespan of the boxster that it has gone from 200hp to 414hp so there's something for everyone. My car is 280hp and it's plenty quick. Plus the balance and sound is *chef's kiss*

I have a 1973 911S Targa and a 987S, 911 has the awesome exhaust sound of the flat6, Boxster has the fabulous induction noise, i thinks Boxster better with the roof down. 911 roof off! Boxster is seriously underrated sport car.

Unfortunately most of the good options were ala cart. And so finding the perfect P car can be difficult. Prioritize your option needs and get as close as you can within your budget. My list included heated sport seats, 6 spd manual, PASM, LSD. I got bonus options heated steering wheel, and Sports Exhaust, and sport chrono which is worthless in a street manual.

Sounds like you’re looking for a Mercedes slk. For a proper pure Porsche driving experience I’d skip the electronic assistants like pasm and heatings.. it’s a sports car, not an suv

I have a Boxster S with 6 cylinder and sport exhaust - It sounds like - corners like- runs like a Porsche should. Ownership has convinced me I got 95% of the 911 for 50% of the cost. Love the Boxster S.

It's better than that. Your Boxster is handling better and more consistently than any 911 does. This means ordinary people can drive a Boxster faster than a 911 👍

Good question. This car's downfall is it's tall gearing. The high revving motor is breaking most speed limits in 3rd gear. A radar detector should be standard equipment

Yes, it's labeled as a different model. The cayman. Basically the same but usually has a small power increase and other little changes.

The standard Porsche flat 6 sound good, but if you compare that to a high revving gt3 its a huge difference. What really would be nice is if there would be a nice carbon intake for these 986/987/996/997, then we'll be closer to gt3 symphony =)

Hero 7 with a sticky mount on the roll bar. External mic is a POS Olympus lav mic I got for 20 bucks but it does the trick. I mount it on thr seat belt buckle to lessen the wind noise.

@@ganplankotp8982 you'd have to research to see which ims you have but I'm guessing yours is a serviceable one. Most people replace it when they do the clutch. I have the large bearing which is more durable but also not serviceable so I send my oil out for analysis and just drive it.
