Thanks sis! Few tips, The protein liquid is thin. The balancing moisturizer is thick like a cream. Aphogee has been around for decades. The formula hasnt changed much. The key is to be consistant, rinse it out well once the treatment is completely dry and apply the balancing moisturizer in order to achieve the correct ph balance. You can also sit under the dryer with it but don't use a plastic cap. You can also alternate weekly btw hot oil treatments, moisturizing deep conditioners and the aphogee protein treatment depending on your hair type and the current state of your hair. Blessings. ❤❤❤

This line of hair care has been around for around 20yrs, and it works!!! My hair broke off so bad from my aunty perming my hair when I already had a chemical in it, that I had to cut it to about an inch.😖😖😖 My aunty used this product every six weeks for a yr. And my hair grew shoulder length in that short time😍😍😍 I also just laid my small amount of hair with gel. That’s it!!! Wash, condition, deep condition and protein and lay it down or leave your hair alone, and watch it work👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

The Aphogee has been around since 1900’s a very good product for hair that I’d damage and breakages. You don’t need to use it with every wash , maybe twice a year if the hair is not that damaged.. And no I didn’t not need a spray bottle to apply.is a waste of time .

The balancing moisturizer to be used after the protein treatment is really thick. The pro-vitamin leave-in conditioner is very watery though, haven’t you used the wrong one? Great video, loved the explanation! ❤

Interesting to see that the hair went from straight back to curly, so heat damage CAN be reversed, obs not completely, but it's not unsalvageable!

Keep in mind this was just within a year. If done consistently who knows. It could come back completely.

With the aphogee treatment help hair stay strong n healthy as the heat or chemical damage grows out. Doesn't reverse it at all

Yes exactly aphogee helps to repair broken bonds now if your hair bonds are completely damaged then it won’t come back as you can see she has some stringy ends that need to be removed but the growth and progress is delicious like your hair definitely grew out and your curls especially in the section you wet for us was the most damaged section you had and it was revived nicely. With frequent trims you’ll have your hair back with thing the next year

If you do a deep treatment with cholesterol (i.e. Queen Helen Cholesterol) and sit under the head dryer or steamer, your curls should spring back.

We use to use mayonnaise often when I was younger, it’s made from eggs and oil it worked before they came with all these man made treatments

Me too. I used to use mayo and mix it with egg and grape seed oil.

I swear by the aphogee 2 step. I never got the shampoo/conditioner only protein liquid and balancing moisturizer but i actually ran out. In college sophomore year i remember my 3C hair being like 2C and by the start of junior year my whole afro was back.

I think you could've gotten even better and faster results if you used the product as directed. I'm always amazed when people do reviews using their own instructions instead of the manufacturer's.

@@tamaracozierdance The official website of Aphogee says it should be used once every 4 to 6 weeks which is the equivalent to a month. Meaning once a month. Also I grew up around the world of cosmetology so it’s also common knowledge for me to know that protein treatments are done once a month or else it can cause even worse damage. What manufacturer details are you referring to?

Heat damage cannot be fixed it has to be cut off. It will strengthen and fill in holes but it cannot and will not reverse heat damage

Talk to your stylist or whoever predominately treats your hair. Protective styles are key to speedy recovery and growth but if done too much or if extensions are too heavy on already weak hair follicles, you’d be doing more harm than good. I will say wigs are a happy medium, you just have to take good care of your scalp and extra care on your edges. Sometimes the comb attachments can rip hair out.

The whole process is essentially the treatment. But I guess you can just get the protein treatment itself and shampoo and condition as usual with normal products.

Honey I cut all my hair off 😂😂😂 not because of damage, just because I wanted to. I purposely put this video out before chopping it all off though because I wanted to show how it repairs the damaged parts and how long it takes.

Only once a month. Too much protein can over process your hair and cause way worse damage.

I want to try this treatment on my hair, you advised to use it every month but I keep my hair in protective hairstyles (mostly braids) as it's convenient for me for 2 months so what would you suggest me to do?

Protein treatments are recommended to be done once or twice every month. Misuse of the treatments can cause over processed hair which can lead to dead hair and breakage. Not 100% sure if it’s risky doing it every two months so consult with your hair stylist.

I used to do a protein treatment every time I’d take my braids out. It helped strengthen my hair.

You said you leave the 2 steps product on for 10 minutes but on the directions it say leave until it’s dry and hard on your hair they also said you can use a blow dryer (cool setting) so I dunno if I should go with your way or the instructions cos my hair isn’t damaged but I don’t like the amount of hair I see on the floor during wash days, probably cos I go six weeks before I wash but I still don’t like it 😑

Firstly, make sure you’re detangling your hair after taking down a protective style. The hair you’re seeing is probably just natural shedding that didn’t get a chance to fall, hopefully. Also I had the Shampoo, Keratin Treatment, and Conditioner. The conditioner which is the super runny watery stuff is the one you can leave on until it’s dry so make sure you’re using the right one. I’ve also never blow dried my hair with this treatment since I was avoiding heat for as long as I can, so maybe that’s why I never experienced hardening. I’d say try again but be very careful.
