If he's experiecing acute pain from his operation, he's in a different mental state compared to the average person without such pain. If you have not had such pain, you can't really understand how it changes your personality. People commit suicide from such pain.

Exactly. Most people can’t wait to lean over and pass gas along with their opinion. We so far know very little, except a few words about chronic and progressive pain, sexual organ paralysis, and urinary incontinence. Doubtless medications are involved, many have psychotropic effects. This isn’t to defend him, but to point out we know virtually nothing about him that’s relevant to the insanity question.

@WinstonSmithGPT Don't disregard that he still within the age frame for young men when schizophrenia can develop in young men. A young guy can have no symptoms, then at a certain age the young man manifests. But don't think I am promoting this as true! NO! But it is in scientific literature the way and age these things happen. This is my brainstorming. All I am doing is presenting an off hand possibility. I don't say it's probable! It's just my personal bes guess. We have so few concrete facts. So who knows?

I've suffered with chronic back pain for over 25 yrs. I've had 2 surgeries & tons of injections. A 3rd surgery was authorized in 2018 but the neurosurgeon cancelled due to risk. Yesterday, the V.A. authorized a spinal cord stimulator implant trial scheduled for Tues. Chronic pain can drive you to consider taking extreme measures BUT it's no excuse for taking anyone's life.
@SusanBaileyAmazingEstate

@@duanelavely5481 I’ve had my stimulator for five years. It helps. It’s absolutely not the miracle it’s sold as. Your body gets used to it after a while. I let my battery go dead every month or so for a couple days. I’ve been doing research on stem cell treatment. They use your own cells and it’s done here in the US - not Panama or Tijuana lol. All of a sudden, stem cells are a thing. It’s expensive, no insurance. Shoot, I’d take out a second mortgage for relief.

There may be a case for evolving in the future an acceptable scope for somewhat narrowly defined vigilante justice. This would be applicable to instances when the constitutionally and socially determined responsible institutions simply do not work, perhaps because of agency capture, lobby corruptive influence and political pressure, all of which btw play a role in the non-indictment of many rich and influential people who have ruined lives of others thru unpunished, even unlitigated economic or pedophilic crime-

Professor as a retired LEO when we arrested people we had to search incident to arrest for safety issues reference possible weapons. as a suspect of a homicide which a gun was used that is not unreasonable search. Also, when you book an arrestee into jail the corrections officer does a body search and all of the personal effects are inventoried and retained until their release. If they have contraband in their possession then extra charges are added.. Example bringing a weapon or narcotics into correctional facility is added charge…

Today the lawyer for Luigi had a press conference and claims his client wants to plead not guilty Breaking news it’s a ledge that he had $8000 US currency in $2000 foreign currency, but now the defense is saying that the money was planted by the police. @ we’ve seen in the past cases like O.J. Simpson, Casey Anthony, where the defense gets their clients off. You could be sure that the lawyer that his family has hired his top-notch with over 40 years experiencing criminal defense. One possible defense could be he suffers from Affluenza which could lessen the culpability (which is a legal and moral concept) of the crime. There is a famous case regarding affluenza, Ethan Couch case Where he mowed down 4 people.

Alan, wouldn’t you agree that if you are aware of someone’s identity and fail to provide that to law-enforcement when you know, in fact, they are pleading with the public to provide that information and you failed to do so wouldn’t you consider that to be harboring?

It is not illegal, but it is immoral to withhold the information.

I’m Hindu and I also love the “Jew Talk.” :) Actually I like listening to anything Alan has to say. A brilliant mind and national treasure, any way you look at it.

The title of "Jew talk" has me laughing aloud every time you say it!! Talk about turning lemons into lemonade; better yet, fighting fire w fire and then some!!

Dicey questions here. Having lived with an alcoholic who blamed her nasty behavior on beer, I vote with people who ask, "Who put the bottle in your mouth?" A history of drugs is no excuse. However, we have to ask if painkillers actually did interfere with the accused killer's brain circuitry and actually did lower his normal ethical inhibitions in some way (pardon the lack of precise psychological/anatomical/physiological terminology).

Professor, you remind me of my late Uncle Lucius, who was a brilliant and wise curmudgeon. I could listen to you for hours, as I did Uncle Lucius.

This saga has just begun. As more and more Americans’ insurance claims get denied, more and more support will grow for Luigi. Day by day. Tic toc.

The legal information was interesting in this presentation. As to the issue of the procedural point of whether the cops had the right to leaf through his manifesto or not given that his bag was not within his reach they DA could claim that they had a fear that the bag could contain an explosive device that could pose a threat to the public but then they should have called in a bomb disposal unit. If a mental condition was invoked how could one explain the meticulous preparation? The 1985 Clive Ponting case in England could be interesting in relation to jury nullification; Ponting clearly violated the Official Secrecy Act but was acquitted because the jury considered that his actions during the Falkland's war had been in the public^s interest.

Investigators should look more into his back injury from surfing. It sounds like he couldn’t get pain management or surgery cuz insurance denied it. I’ve been a chronic pain patient since 1986. It does something to you. He said he’d never have a normal life because of his pain. He mentioned specifically not being able to have sex. In his mind, it was forever. I can imagine a patient who’s young, healthy, fit, no obvious injuries - doctors could easily think he just wants drugs. He did other drugs, mind altering drugs, seeking relief. The dark energies he encountered wouldn’t help his mindset. And I think 26 is about when schizophrenia shows up. I think it’s insanity.

Well in all fairness to the family, Luigi does look like Joe Jonas and many Italian and Middle Eastern men, particularly with the hooded jacket and semi mask.

Administrative responsibilities require documentation of possessions in the immediate area of the suspect. . . Searching secondary to police officer safety. . . Very strange to take-out someone under indictment, for other purposes not in regards to the information he could surrender.

If this case goes back to New York? And is Bragg the prosecutor? And can we trust that he won't purposely throw the case so the guy gets off?
