Does Baking Soda Actually Kill Rats? Baking Soda vs Rats

I’ve tried several methods to rid my farm of rats and found that a baking soda mix seems to be giving me the best results. I just found out the backing soda deal a few week ago...it does seem to work...I put it in with the hog feed and I aint seen near as many

You didn't mention after how long did they die, a day or a week?

I believe it only takes a day or two once they eat the mix. I started noticing a decrease about a week after I put the mix out.

You may have to add to the mix. Like I will put the sweet feed pellets in the mix and my rats will dig through the mix to get to the pellets.

Thank you for your comment, although rats and mice can “fart” they cannot burp or vomit. The baking soda will foam up and produces carbon dioxide which they cannot process and it will kill then.
