Bick 4 doesn’t darken permanently. Only more luster and richness as you said. Very good product.

Just an FYI; I used B4 on my distressed hybrid Ariat’s and thought I really messed up afterward, however I brushed them rather heavy for my liking and the color came back to where it was and has the distressed look again after about 4 days of wear. As an added bonus, the leather has more of a shine to it now bc of the b4 and I really like them even more than when I purchased them. Just my $.02

I use Bick 5 religiously. It darkens them initially, then they return to their natural color when totally dry after a few days. Great product.

Hey Jeremiah, loving you’re content since I first started watching some weeks ago, I got my first pair of cowboy boots 2 weeks ago, they are nocona’s model style MD2711 tan color and my gf is getting me some saddle soap and this conditioner and I just wanna ask you for some advice if this conditioner would darken tan color or ruin them, thanks and keep up the good work, enjoying you’re vids a lot.
@JeremiahCraig5 жыл бұрын
Hey Johnny! Thanks for watching. It looks like that model is a distressed leather of sorts. It could just be how it's marketed but Bick 4 explains not to use on distressed leathers so it may darken your boots. You might want to try this: www.sheplers.com/scout-distressed-leather-conditioner/069500.html?colorCode=19&ef_id=EAIaIQobChMIqs-m9tGF4wIVAiSGCh0UngjzEAQYAiABEgK2WvD_BwE:G:s&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIqs-m9tGF4wIVAiSGCh0UngjzEAQYAiABEgK2WvD_BwE. I haven't used it before so I can't recommend it 100% but I have used Scout exotic conditioner and it's awesome. You also might not want to use saddle soap on that type of leather either. Just brush them off and make sure there's no dirt on them before conditioning. Hope this helps

My brand new distressed boots where light in color from the factory, they did darken a little bit but like you said I think it's the color they should be. After I let them dry, I applied the bickfore water repellent. I plan on buying a horse hair brush and reconditioning them at least once or twice a month depending on what happens to them. I like both products

Ok what the HECK can you condition out of the Box reeking of Leather smell Weathered Leather Boots, that rough weathered look is incredible and the reason I ordered these Ariats. Thank you and Semper Fidelis

Hi I've been following you now for a long time, I was wondering what kind of conditioner is good for distressed leather? And could u make a video on it
@TheRealA-A-ron2 жыл бұрын
Be careful… I have a pair of Ariats that Bick 4 darkened. They are now several shades darker from when I first received them. Usually my boots will dry to the original color after application, but these boots did not. I was surprised, because Bick 4 has never darkened any of my other boots or shoes. So again, be careful, don’t just assume…

My boots are what they call " tan crazy horse" leather? Will this darken them or is it safe to use? They are Double H boots if that matters, I have never conditioned them before but want them to last so I thought I should start conditioning them.

I just bought same boots and was wondering how you made out? I see bick makes a conditioner for distressed leather, and I belive our boots have folklore old time leather

Hi, great video! Btw I just got a pair of boots but there is too much screech on them everytime I move, mostly because the laces are made out of leather too, do you know if putting a conditioner like this one on them will help to reduce/eliminate the noise or got any other tip?

Mr Jeremiah Craig, I hope you see this question. I accidentally used some BIck 1 on a pair of full quill ostrich boots and on a pair of caiman hornback boots. I didn't use a lot, but then I read that you shouldn't use them on your boots. Did I just wreck them??? If so, can I save them? Please help! You're like the boot surgeon, so I figured you would know. THANK YOU!
@JeremiahCraig4 жыл бұрын
Ostrich is pretty tough. Put Bick 4 on them ASAP or another conditioner. If you don't they might dry out and crack because Bick 1 is a pretty heavy duty cleaner. Once you put conditioner on they should be ok.

From what I've read, any darkening whether it be Bick, Lexol, etc., it should be temporary. If it wouldn't darken, then it's not doing it's job of moisturizing. Some leathers are more porous than others and a lot depends on the tanning process. Maybe someone has more info on this.
@stevenvanatta37024 жыл бұрын
ok bick 4 is the best but lets toss the rag honestly the best results with bick 4 is by putting it in your hand and rubbing it in very well and let it sit overnight ..the results in the leather or exotic are better than stated on the bottle . after overnight step 1 is horsehide bush step 2 buffing rag step 3 done awesome..... do that every 6mo on exotics and once a year on everything else even ruff out .. not sued
@peoplearesmart91895 жыл бұрын
You should try lexol leather cleaner and leather conditioner. Got the package on eBay for less than $20 bucks

Yeah should be fine as long as it's a smooth leather
@reem_er68574 жыл бұрын
This is very late yo comment, but thought it might be good for others interested as well. Bickmore bick 4 is used in the motorcycle industry on riding leathers quite often. It is fine to use with leather jackets so long as they arent pre treated like the bottle says.

Where can I find pig skin boots. I had a pair many years ago and haven’t had any luck finding anyone making them
@JeremiahCraig3 жыл бұрын
Anderson Bean is making some. Sow and Feral Hog boots. Other than that you might have to try custom. Pig skin is usually a cheaper hide for custom boot makers to use from my understanding and you may be able to find someone in you budget range near you depending on where you are
