That’s NOT what this product is for. Removing TOP COAT requires cutting the paint with polish, that’s what removes it, then you use eraser to remove any oil residues from the paint correction, then you apply ceramic or anything else you want. Again a PREP SOLUTION does NOT remove a coating, it requires physical cutting through the coating

Totally misleading. These products are not designed to strip sealants off of paint? Hence the name "oil and polish remover" so why are we surprised when they don't do what they don't even claim to do? It's not concerning at all and doesn't leave any room to compromise a coating. If you aren't properly prepping and polishing a car beforehand which will remove the sealant through abrasion you probably shouldn't be coating the car in the first place.

car pro eraser or isopropyl alcohol isnt going to remove most sealants. Its used to remove any oils and residue off the paint to get it ready for apply a wax or sealant. Before this you would normally do a chemical decontamination and clay bar and most likely a paint cleanse. Which will normally remove most waxes and sealants. Eraser is just a final step to remove any polish and oil residue so the sealant / wax has a better surface to adhere to.

I stopped using Eraser after reading the sds. It is just IPA and water with a little dye. I can mix my own 25% IPA solution and get the same a effect for pennies. For a chemical to remove ceramic or any other good quality coating, it has to be strong enough to remove the paint/cleacoat . Ceramic is like nail polish and acetone barely removes it from human nails. The only safe way to remove coatings - as many have indicated is a rotary or DA polisher w/ a cutting compound. Then use IPA or your method to assure all compound residue is removed.

I like how everyone is in search of the most chemical-resistant coatings and sealants, but they're "shocked" when mild solvents don't remove those same coatings and sealants instantly. Car pro eraser is used to remove polishing oils and leave s clean surface after you polish or compound and before you apply your final step protection. It is not going to completely remove your old protectant.with all the torture test you've done to seal n shine did you really think that Eraser or IPA would remove the seal n shine?

I always do a light polish before putting in a coating, even if the paint is in great condition. It just helps me make sure I get previous products and even fresh traffic film off. I currently use GTechniq’s panel wipe as the final prep spray

First, Turtle Wax Seal N Shine is awesome but I took it off my car because it gave my red car a cool look. Secondly, I am going to stick to using Maguiar’s Plus to break down waxes or sealants.

Hi . The yellow microfibers that you use are kirkland ?, they are good ?. In France they are at 33eur the 36 pack , ie ~ 0.92 cents d'euro one microfiber, really cheap !, very good for product testing 😊

I haven’t seen one that actually does anything yet. I have only tried a CG product and IPA myself. Every review seems like these products fail. Love seeing the kids helping out.

Man that TurtleWax Seal and Shine is no freakin joke!! I'm starting to think that they have something in there that's not even on the Periodic Table... 🐢👽 😆

First Low Oder mineral spirits, and give it about 5 minutes of dwelling time. Then work the panel with a low absorbent mf towel. Then wiping the panel clean. Then I go back with a product like eraser.

Love your channel, but this type of test is very unrealistic. Paint prep products are used after you do a decon wash, clay, iron remover, and a polish. Each of these steps removes existing wax/sealant while the paint prep removes polishing oils.

This video does not make any sense at all. You should just remove it.

How about a video on how best to remove coatings etc 🤷🏻♂️

I wouldnt suggest using eraser to do all the stripping. I would suggest a strong decon soap like the one from obsessed garage. Then one or two stage correct it to do the heavy lifting than use eraser to get the last of the residue off but no i wouldnt use eraser expecting to remove all the wax and sealant

Carpro is NOT a protectant stripper. It removes oils left behind from waxes before a ceramic

Great video buddy I was just wondering what vacuum you using to blow of or what are you using

I like a good amount of dwell time with CarPro eraser. And before a coating I use ceramic pro cleaner a couple of times as well. beyond that? I guess I just assumed it worked...but who knows
