I'm not saying this is why, but planes use a woman's voice for two reasons. 1) it was thought that a female voice would stand out better from radio communications due to pilots being predominantly male and, 2) They thought a woman's voice would be better due to the connotation women carry as caregivers and mothers. They thought a female voice could help pilots remain calm in emergency situations. Maybe it's just become the norm now.

I actually recognize voices very well. Still, I never associated Sky's voice with Her's voice. But then I was surprised that OpenAI changed Sky's voice, which I noticed immediately. Doesn't she sound even more like Her now?
