The giggs part reminds me of when your boy plays you a tune and he's really into it and you have to fake nod and agree with his outlandish outbursts such as "this verse is mad".
@GbreezY954 жыл бұрын
When he makes statements like " Don't make me have to drive by high schools" I cringe a little. It's no secret that he probably has goons that will do it for him, but that takes away the believability factor because drill is usually a glorification of the work that you personally have put in on the streets. I prefer when Drake raps about his lifestyle, on Chicago freestyle when he's talking about "truck to the hotel lobby, me I go through underground garages" you instantly believe him, because that's genuinely how he has to move because of his status in the industry
@sblackofficial4 жыл бұрын
i agree but i dont agree with what you said about "drill being a glorification of the work they have personally put on the streets" because moretime they are just speaking the ugly truth rather than glorifying it
@GbreezY954 жыл бұрын
SeriousBlackツ Yeah it’s probably a bit of both. Arguably glorification when you look at the likes of Zone 2’s No Censor amongst other tracks. But as you said, at times it’s just the ugly truth and a reality a lot of inner city kids live.
