@@tikoblocks3224 its very similar however that is a good reason for aim assist as well other than the inaccuracy of controllers. TVs varies greatly on gtg and actual response time. There are a few tvs that do hit monitor gtg and response times but you dont take advantage of that at 60fps...compared to 144 or higher..I find myself as a decent player generally speaking but I'm currently locked at 60hz with a slow gtg and response time until my actual build is complete. And I do average to above average at times on these kind of games. Really says something there.
@rellykz21754 жыл бұрын
Yulfine I used to be GE on MM before going to client and peaked at A+/Level 10. Bought a Alienware 240hz a couple of months ago and it's night and day upgrade from my Asus 144hz(one of the top of the line 144 hz'). Albeit, 240hz is a niche, mostly for CSGO and games that can reach 240 FPS, it's rare to even get to that FPS in a game but realistically you should go for the 240hz regardless if price slightly varies. Last time I checked my 144hz monitor was like $260-$280? My 240hz was purchased for $300 and probably around $320-$340 right now, I'd spend the extra $60-$80 for a monitor that'll scale with your future builds rather than something that'll handicap your fps. I went from 12 RWS/90 ADR before buying to consistently hitting 13.5-14 RWS & 95 ADR. 144 to 240 isn't a HUGE difference like 60 to 144, but it's noticeable and yes you can utilize it ONLY IF you have the reaction time to do so, and with the feedback from stats I've been doing a lot better statistically with my 240. The only complaint with 240 hz is that they're TN panels, so colors and display aren't the best crispy, compared to my Asus, my alienware is not for watching shows on and it's a huge difference, like going from a older flat screen TV to a new 4k TV type of difference in terms of colors, pictures, clarity etc.

Realistically, I don't think any game is really kitted for anything beyond 60FPS. Fighting games as an example have to run at 60 otherwise it, breaks the game. In this environment it makes it so everyone can each have a distinct reaction time, competitively. As it compares most to real life when moves are designed in them. Human reaction time is around 14-9F. From average to above average. Those being moves in speed and how well a player can or tends to be.

i love the 'double doors' test

Of course it does! It makes it much easier to consistently preform due to delay in position and response. Although you won’t become an amazing gamer just by spending a bunch of money, it still makes it way easier to improve with better hardware. I would recommend better hardware for more frames any day

I kind of wished they locked the FPS at 60 FPS with the 240 refresh rate. This would be a decent indication of how much it matters on Xbox one and ps4. It has been my observation and many others observation that even at much lower than 240 FPS that high refresh rate monitors seem to matter a little. I’d imagine it would be the smallest effect compared to the other categories they tested.

This is a blatant lie. FPS does nothing when you have bad ping.

So, people with slower monitors can adapt by aiming at door instead of aiming at the opening. Thats what i used to do and get them through the gates :P

No FPS does not make you a better gamer. A GAMING CHAIR DOES.
@chaywarburton34884 жыл бұрын
Yes it can, trying to play just cause 3 on xbox one vs a PC at 100fps plus max settings IS A WORLD DIFFERENT. The smoothness, your ability to react, not worry about the shuttering/lag. (I forget the term). Yeah I know higher fps helps xD
