What about making it possible to choose smaller homes or smaller cars? Zoning rules in most places only allow single family houses or big apartment complexes. Both of these are highly car-dependent neighborhoods. Current US emissions laws are less stringent for light trucks to pass than cars. That's why Ford and GM no longer sell any sedans. Small multifamily buildings, garage apartments, granny flats, etc., aren't allowed. Small, efficient cars are less profitable because they need better emission controls. Change these laws so that people that want to can buy a bungalow or a small car.

Shifting things from one country to another to show nice graphs of how things are rising in one country and falling in the other is tight :) Doesn't have anything to do with the reality of the world but at least it feels right for most hairless apes out there :P

If everyone is so concerned over carbon emission. WHY HAVE AUTO MAKERS BEEN ALLOWED TO MAKE BIGGER AND BIGGER CARS WITH LARGER ENGINES THAT HARKEN BACK TO MUSCLE CARS. REMEMBER IN THE 1960s they said we were running out of oil and Detroit went nuts and made millions of small 4 cylinder cars? Remember the CORVAIR the little Buicks Pontiac’s and Oldsmobiles? Then we went to small FOREIGN car? Great gas mileage. Then everyone went nuts again. Bigger cars. Bigger trucks. Toyota trucks went from tiny to monster. GM makes bigger and bigger cars now. WHY?? Why are we not using natural gas in our homes with ZERO emission instead of unsustainable unusable solar with all its wasteful by products. Of solar panels , windmill blades. Those windmills use hundreds of gallons of oil. What happened to nuclear. While we can have smaller cars travel less we cannot walk back into the Stone Age with solar energy. ITS INSANITY AND ITS AN ECONOMY KILLER. There are too many things we can do WITHOUT the GREEN ENERGY INSANITY.

Since time and memorial we need more people, our species only thrives and grows off having more peoole. More chsnces for inovation and discovery, unfortunatly yes that comes at the cost of more life lost to poverty war and other negative side effects. But nothing in life comes easy, we are bunch od monkeys throwing shit at the wall till somthing sticks.
