I’m all for it. If it was a bit fancier, that would be better. But at the end of the day, if it works, it works. 👍

looks like rural India, these guys probably work for about £3 per day and not using the latest equipment, most likely made the panels and posts themselves, the fence will have to cope with weather from the rainy monsoons to the baking heat, good to see them wearing safety shoes and not bare feet, good job well done.

The best style fencing I've been told 👀😂. For the tools that I could see, they have done absolutely amazing! I like the concrete posts, because I'm not sure if you saw Joe, but the gravel boards couldn't get any lower because the post's recess stopped. I think that is quite smart because then you know for a fact your post is as low as it needs to be! The gravel board design was very nice as well! Dave & Stevie, D&J Projects

@@JoeEverest I believe that recess stop is what explains the double post part way down.

Here in Hungary it was pretty common to build these concrete panel fences. I have this as well, not decorated tho, was built in the 70's and it still stands as it should.

The main advantage is that your neighbours won't nick it for fire wood plus it wont float away in the monsoon season.

I'm a fencer in the the UK they have to use two posts on the level change because the post have a lip for the gravel boards to rest on so if you lifted it up the lower level gravel board would have nothing to rest on Hope this was useful thanks

Honestly, I like it! Curious to see how a gate would be installed using this same system
@haroonsiddique6369 Жыл бұрын
Most likely they would have steel posts and gate.

In the UK you can't install this specific full concrete panel system because it's illegal, only the gravel board and posts can be concrete. This system becomes very dangerous over the years due to decay and the sheer weight of the panels?

The main problem with concrete fencing and split rail especially is vandalism, at least where I live. Teenagers on the way to school and whatnot seem to enjoy practicing karate or something on them and can even break off a 8x8 post. I'd venture to bet a swift back heeled kick to one of those long panels would crack it, if not break it in half completely. Cheers and thanks for the great content.

I like it, could improve the look by adding a stain to the concrete and a different stain to the “textured” panels . Nice share.

We see quite a bit of this in the Rocky Mountain West.

One big problem….concrete has also been in short supply in our area. They were rationing cement earlier this summer.

I'm inclined to believe that Poland builds best fences in the world xD Our fences have a reinforced concrete foundations and posts, are at least waist high, metal crossbars and always have spiked tips, regardless if spans are metal or wooden. I hate places that don't have fenced front yard and locked gate - high trust society is a lie, you can only have trust if it's based upon boundaries. And it's healthier for social contract, both you and government know to not step on eachother toes.

Would look nicer if the panels had some tongue and grooves so that they sat perfectly in line with each other

Hi joe I install a lot of the concrete posts system here in the uk a problem you get with this system is that the rebar actually rusts in the posts and over time 20-25 years these posts end up breaking especially in the slots. This is the same problem in the gravelboards end up crack or breaking when they have side pressure so a heavy wind can actually end up cracking the gravelboards or too much ground being placed up against them

Wow… if the top gravel boards were foamcrete that could make it lighter for true diy… really liking the look of this. I could see doing custom templates… Haven’t seen how they would do gates for these kinds of fences tho…

We are doing this style fence system in NZ at the moment. First time using it. Does not have a step out in the post for gravel board to rest on like another commenter mentioned. We can set own height in this case a 3 inch board height above post height.

I like it. With all the dark spots tells me the concrete isn't cured all the way. So it would look good after dry, they're probably making them as they go (I've seen a few countries do it like that) but I'd either stain, of paint the brick a color, and the posts and smooth boards a different color to break it up a little and give it a nice finish with years of weather resistance. Looks good either way!

It’s quite common over here in the uk, people who have a fence but a hedge behind sometimes go for this so the wood doesn’t get damaged/ rot from the hedge. Or people that don’t want any maintenance, painting ect. We also now have composite panels and metal panels that fit in to our standard concrete bays. Quite a few going around at the minute. Good vid as always 👍🏼

I think this is simply a better option.

Quick question...you said towards the end that a wood fence is a 10 or 15 year system... I currently have a wood fence that is 20 years old and doesn't have any rot whatsoever its completely untreated. It's gray, but the cedar is fresh just a 16th below the surface if you sand one or cut and the dense looks as good as the day I built it, other than the color. I could easily see this fence lasting 50 years or better based on what I've seen so far with such minimal signs of age. Why then does an "average" wood fence last only 15 years? I did use post master posts btw, they were expensive even then compared to cedar.

I have seen this video before the posts have a stop 6' from the top for thr gravel board to rest on thats why they had two post to change level, also did you see what type of levelling system they are using to level the post vertical it was a piece of string with a plumb bob on and to level the hight of the post they used a water level and no shoes very brave 🙄🤘
