Jax never seems to engage in "bow blow insults." I'm sure he could make fun of Zooble's insecurities or make fun of the characters grief with Kaufmo but he doesn't. He's trying to distract himself by petty jokes. I may be wrong but idk

It would be a cool conflict if the main goal of most of the characters is to get OUT of the circus. But one character desperately wants to stay. Perhaps Jax might be this. Like how video games can be a way for people to dissociate from the real world. Maybe he was treated horribly as a kid and does not want to go back. Every adventure he seems to be enjoying himself when there is some crazy element, but as soon as he gets put in a "normal" situation like in a restaurant, he starts breaking down. This conflict would be especially interesting for him because he's "The master of keys" which I feel like is 100% coming up later in the series. The secret of how to escape the circus probably lies in either him or Kinger. A pretty outlandish theory, but one to think about.
@JMaverick673 сағат бұрын
Ever since Ep 2, I've had this theory that Jax has seen passed the premise of the adventures, and treats it like a GTA-adjacent sandbox where the consequences don't matter, so he's going to bring the house down
@black-shadow-eclipse3 сағат бұрын
Jax is confirmed to dislike corn, something that can be related to a farm. Ragatha is a horse girl. Could be there connection? Also both are putting on a mask how they cope with the circus. Ragatha always tries to stay calm and positive and Jax is a jerk to entertain himself. Also, didn't Gooseworx mentioned that Jax x Ragatha shipper are not going to like future events in the show? 🤔 But could just be a coincidence.

One thing I noticed during the episode that may come back later is Caine’s realization that he can add negative reinforcement to his adventures as motivation to complete them. When Gangle first asked him to add a punishment for the employees who underperform the most he acted as if he hadn’t thought of that before. So I wonder if going forward Caine might add punishments to his future adventures if the crew doesn’t complete them correctly. It could probably drive Jax insane as he won’t be able to do what he wants as there will be consequences for his actions now which may lead him to get more deflated like he was in this episode

I will say, something I havent seen ANYONE talking about is that Caine listened! He used the suggestion box and was receptive to feedback and hell, he was even there when Gangle called for him. Caine is… improving? Its small, but maybe his talk with Zooble actually helped a bit.

Jax has always been my favorite character in The Amazing Digital Circus despite him being a jerk to the others. Also after Episode 4, I love that Jax is sort of nice to Pomni when he actually had a normal conversation with her, he even said in the beginning of the episode that he didn't mean to knock Gangle's mask while the gang were playing baseball.😁😮🐰💜

Everyone thinks if “deserves” then he did something bad and this is his punishment But no one thinks that the game is actually a reward for Jax where he is free to do everything because life wasn’t fair to him
@bangenji48533 сағат бұрын
I think jax seems to have a lot of traits of ASPD and NPD. I think he’s a narcissist who seriously doesn’t think about the others trapped in the circus and how his actions affect them as his rudeness and abuse is a messed up way to cope with the fact he doesn’t have a lot of control over what’s happening.
@Minerveestar2 сағат бұрын
It would be the ultimate irony for Jax to try (Keyword: Try) to make everyone else abstract and go insane, but he ends up abstracting instead of anyone else. What if he’s the closest one to abstracting because of all the recent abuse HE’S been put through? From the Gloink hitting him in Episode 1, to getting tied up in Episode 3’s Haunted House Adventure, to him being forced to watch Gangle’s brainwashing tape in Episode 4, who knows what’s going to happen in Episode 6 (Jax’s Episode). Obviously Jax deserves all the karma he gets, but what if this karma is the straw that breaks the camel’s back in terms of Jax’s Breaking Point? We don’t know what the other previous abstracted Circus members were like, but we know what Jax is like and we know that Abstraction is the worst possible thing that could happen to him.
@Asundur172 сағат бұрын
I know it's a tad out there, but i truly believe that part of the reason of Jax is such a bully is to add a bit of his own normalcy to the chaos of the Circus. Hear me out, from what we have seen Jax has never criticized or emotionally target any of the crew. While at times he seems to cross the line, he never really goes that extra step to making things personal. I believe part of him wants to distract the other players from they're own thought, and even himself as well, Using the npc's when he wants to go over the edge because he views them as not people.
@arthurjeremypearson3 сағат бұрын
he deserves to be there because he made the place. His latest attempt to keep his subjects alive was to be a jerk, eliciting responses, being a foil for them to bounce off. They're all paralyzed or otherwise broken people Jax is trying to keep alive in his machine.

I'm sorry but something hits me, according to Jax-Gangle as in an employee-manager relation. Doesn't it reminds anyone of the Stanford's Experiment? You know, the one where people were acting as the prisoners and the guards? I think Jax and Gangle are a good example, considering the dynamics in episode 4 🤔

Long story short Jax is a sociopath and like many sociopaths they have a bit of a light side to them and they're often made and not born with sadism. My theory is that Jax was bullied and dealt with work abuse which lead to him having a complete disregard for authority and rules and just does whatever he wants.

Jax dropping the jerk attitude to ask Pomni how she was doing was such a nice moment.😊 Hopefully there will be more moments like that in the future, even if it is fun to watch him be a jerk.😅 I’d be really funny if the “Unforgivable thing” that Jax is supposed to do is just something silly like violating an unwritten rule or norm rather than making someone abstract.😅

I hope Jax doesn't go down the villain route and instead reconciles with the group eventually. But I can see why that would be hard for him at this point. He probably really wants to avoid letting others see his vulnerability and would find it really humiliating if they did, after all he's done. I suspect something like this will happen in ep6 and Pomni will try to connect with him after feeling sorry for him, although that's just my hope.
@Molly_Dollyy7742 сағат бұрын

My head cannon is that Ja hacked into the game and got stuck not much evidence but I like the idea of trying to mess with other people and getting stuck in the process.
@Okeana_Aster3 сағат бұрын
I think actually forcing Jax to not mess with the others like in this episode is good for him. Since he can't be mean to them, it seems that he feels like he's out of options to entertain himself and, out of boredom and resignation, actually starts relating to and interacting with the others in a genuine way, like he attempted to do with Pomni. But she didn't trust that he was being genuine due to the way he's been treating everyone thus far (which is fair). But since Caine now has the idea to punish the ones who go through the adventures in the non-intended way as "motivation", maybe Jax will be forced to stop messing with the others. And it will lead him to genuinly interact with them more, and over time, they will understand that he does have a genuine side to him and they'll appreciate him more. He'll feel accepted and stop the bullying. Well unless Caine forgets that Gangle gave him this idea since he has a bad memory, but I guess we'll see.

I’d argue the only reason Jax wasn’t his usual mean self in this episode has far less to do with being humbled, but was a fear response. This is the only episode that someone had power over him and had a real threat of punishment for acting out. He wasn’t being nice, he conformed out of fear of reprisal.

I feel like Jax will accidentally break Caine, then realize he went to far. He feels like he goes as far as he can because they will think about hating him rather than losing themselves in their own issues. He just has been doing it so long, and allowed to go so far because there hasn't been a direct break because of him. He might be an ass because he is just trying to be the bad guy to distract from their issues. And he likes messing with people. He is still being a dick. Just motivated by a good reason, just bad at doing it in a healthy way because of his own issues, just like everyone else in the circus.

good video overall, though i have one thing i think is important to know: respecting someone's pronounce does not make them a good person. not respecting them would make them a bad person, but it's not black or white. since trans people just want to live as their gender without it being something that affects their life that much, it's just the moral norm.
@late_gamer132 сағат бұрын
I've always thought Jax is complicated, and him being mean is a facade. He has too big of an ego to admit that he wants to be friends with the group, but I'm sure he'll be more vulnerable on some level before the end of the show.

@MCwolfie2 сағат бұрын
Nah Jax was bullied in real life and is self hating. He is now able to bully others as others bullied him. And he uses the excuse as "it's not real" to cover for him. Him being "normal" in the latest episode is him feeling being trapped back in his own life. Cus it was a real life scenario, he finds it harder to say " it's not real" cus it feels like his old life, and wasn't able to stand up to authority. Jax is not a nice character. Is there good in him. Yes. But that doesn't make him a good/ nice character. And he genuinely didn't mean to crack gangles mask. That's just it. Indifferent. Some times a red room is just red.
