There’s a guy at my locals, don’t know his age be he’s old, who always shows up with his college-age son. The dad’s mat is a custom one his son got him that has zombie monsters (zombie is is favorite deck) on it with his face on the zombie master. The mat also says “Happy Birthday Dad” at the top (might’ve been merry Christmas but the idea is there). It’s always nice to see him

I had the absolute pleasure to play against Jeff in a PPG online tournament once. Seriously cannot be understated that he probably the single nicest, calmest player I've had the pleasure to face in tournament, despite his horrendous choice in decks. As far as I'm concerned, when Mystic Mine finally hits the banlist, there should be an asterisk that Jeff and only Jeff is still allowed to play the card at 3 copies in his deck.

Im 37 and Roy st Clair may he rest in peace showed me how to play. Of course I was playing Magic aka MTG at first I switched over when legends of blue eyes first came out in Yu-Gi-Oh. It's not that uncommon to see people older than teenagers playing the game it's actually refreshing to see a more mature group of people playing the game.

Triple Cosmic Cyclone isn't the answer, because the deck runs 3x Dark Bribes, and 3x Judgment, and 3x Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell. You have to find another way to out it, because the deck has answers for them.

We've played more than a few times since then and I've started playing cyberse eldlich so I've got judgements of my own, eldlich effect, dracoback, conq. Our matches are usually decided in 10-15 minutes. He either stops me cold turn 1 or I dracoback bounce his mine and otk. A lot of the time it comes down to that prohibition call though. Edit: I still have 3 cosmic in the side just for Jeff 🤣

@@supersweatt I wouldn't doubt that at all, I had a friend of mine that played it religiously after I showed him what the deck could really do, and since I've played it in the past, I was able to easily beat him, but now since he's passed away, I've picked up the mantle of playing Mystic Mine at my locals, and everyone hates the mess out of it. They said it was super janky just because of my line up I run, I run it as a going second deck, just so I can board break the power decks, and my opponents normally scoop if they see I've broken their set up, then games 2 and 3 are much more difficult, so I'll side in all the hate, so I might be able to power through their shenanigans.

So the ruling that checks for a win con after each chain link actually makes a lot of sense. It prevents a player's LP from hitting zero mid-chain and then being brought back up via a card effect in the same chain, effectively "dodging death"

I love how this kinda proves the rules are, for the most part pretty intuitive. Jeff was able to reason out so many of these rulings and didn't overthink it. He even figured out the interesting ruling about chains and instant wins! Absolutely great showing Jeff!
