For some reason people take everything TV preachers as the absolute gospel truth when in reality much of it is their interpretation. The odd time I listened to Hagee , just to see if I can learn something. But Hank isn’t any different than any of the other. I remember he gave a scathing critique of Joel Osteen, who I enjoy watching not because Joel is a great theologian, but he’s a great motivational speaker. During the podcast criticizing Joel he asked people to send money 3 or 4 times. I personally send only money to my church and organizations like Samaritans Purse and Compassion where I know my money does something good. Trust Jesus, and don’t put your faith in men, just open your bible and read it daily.
@BibleAnswerMan20 күн бұрын
@e.a.p3174 Appreciate the point of view. Of course, the discerning Christian ought never to just get a motivational talk or a message that gives you a liver quiver, especially of the preacher/orator/sophist/life coach/Ted Talk speaker propagates error.
@e.a.p317420 күн бұрын
@@BibleAnswerMan Of course not, but you need to fill the physical and spiritual needs of the downtrodden. When you are losing your house because you can't pay the mortgage, facing cancer, going through a divorce, you etc, you don't need to listen to a sermon of what a miserable sinner you are. I attended a Baptist church, for a while, and every Sunday was the same message, we are rotten sinners, and Jesus paid the price, so we don't have to rot in hell. Of course theologically that is correct, but people need to deal with real world problems. So if God chose Joel as a Christian motivational speaker and his success seems to suggest that, it is fine with me. Nevertheless you should attend a church on Sunday, you should also listen to other preachers. I listen various preachers like Charles Price, Allister Bagg, Derek Prince, David Jeremiah. Every time I listen to someone I might learn something. However nothing beats spending the habit of daily bible reading.
@BibleAnswerMan20 күн бұрын
@e.a.p3174 Fair enough. But Word of Faith preaches, such as Hagee, often teach a prosperity gospel, which shamelessly conveys to the poor and downtrodden that poverty is a curse and wealth is a sign of the kind of faith that makes one prosperous. Their poverty shows their lack of faith, in other words. Very bad stuff. It is virtuous to show compassion to the poor but Hagee and other Word of Faith prosperity gospel preachers are scandalous. @ with all due respect poverty is the result of lack of of vision, poor work habits and a lack of self discipline. You may be right that some preachers such as Copeland and Hagee claim that poverty is caused by lack of faith rather than a lack of work. So their prescription is have faith to send them money. That’s hustling gullible people. People have a self image unfortunately that self image or as Bob Proctor calls it paradigm that keeps people from winning in life. I once was extremely broke, lived on potatoes and milk for a whole winter, however in mind I had a vision that I own a prosperous business and I kept the vision and built a prosperous business. Over the years I hired, many people, rented out apartments to many people and I can tell you exactly who succeeds and who stays perpetual poor. All I have to do is look at people’s habits. I believe God will bless and prosper people who have good habits. My company’s motto is Colossians 3:23 and anyone who does follow that motto will prosper

John Hagee states in the book after the statement about denying being the messiah...CHOOSING INSTEAD TO BE THE SAVIOUR OF THE WORLD. He was using the word messiah in its general term..like Moses was a messiah , Samson was a messiah, etc. Deliverer. It was a poor choice of words for the promo lol. What I wonder is; Why so few preachers know nothing about the Kingdom of God. Jesus said, "The time is fulfilled! (Daniels 70 weeks prophecy leading up to Messiah" The Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the Gospel." What Gospel? The Apostles asked, "Will you at this time restore the Kingdom of God?" The fallen tabernacle of David, United Israel, will be restored. Why don't you people know this. John 3:3 "Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” Luke 17:20 Jesus replied, “The kingdom of God will not come with observable signs." It takes study of history and the fulfillment of prophecy to understand the Kingdom of God, where it is on Earth, who those people are, Israel. We will not know of Christ's return but so many prophets' prophecy they know the date, and all have failed to this point in time. But it will come here on earth where we who have passed will rise from our graves in the air that we breathe, and others will be changed as they are still alive.

@BibleAnswerMan18 күн бұрын
@RealBobLoblaw Disagree. Hagee is a well recognized television preacher who has a global platform that touches numerous evangelicals. Far from some obscure preacher relatively unknown in the evangelical world. It is Hagee's teachings that fall in the domain of fringe evangelical to heretical but highly influential within evangelicalism. Hagee takes the heresy from the outside church and brings it into the church.

WHEN I READ THE WORD, GOSPEL, I expect simple straightforward from the mouth of Christ, not the word, gospel used for all purposes, you frauds! Mt. 24:13-14, is the gospel. Thy kingdom come, is the gospel, and you know what grasshoppers? He said; Mk. 1:14-25 , BELIEVE IT'S THE GOSPEL, not a bunch of need for a savior rocket science, and spiritualism in the form of metaphoric lingo. This is what happens when scholarship is so bad, they cannot discern God didn't give Moses the ten commandments, yet it is written. As a former atheist, my disappointment in Christianity has gotten me saying religion is bogus, while God, is not. Bless your mortal hearts. Ask Christianity for the gospel, if you don't get what I cited, you're not getting the gospel that brings his return, thus the long-suffering of Christianity is deliberate?
@BibleAnswerMan20 күн бұрын
@eltonron1558 Thanks for chiming in. Matthew 24:13-14 and Mark 1:14-25 comport with the essence of the gospel, which Paul affirms in 1 Corinthians 15:1ff. The gospel preached is Christ died, according to the Scriptures, and rose again on the third day, according to the Scriptures, and He appeared to Cephas and the twelve. Whether one reads Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John, all four center upon and bear witness to Christ death and resurrection.
@eltonron155820 күн бұрын
@BibleAnswerMan I am not sorry to inform you, 1Cor. 15:1, is spoken in PAST TENSE. How do I know? Because it's either past tense, or Paul contradicts himself., from he declared the gospel just as Jesus, to the point matters concerning Jesus are secondary. Acts 28:31, Paul did the gospel as Christ. Thy kingdom come, the coming kingdom of God, and staty in Corinthians 15:-23-24, simple gospel fulfilled, kingdom delivered up, the END, of Mt. 24:13-14, from the beginning. No need for a savior rocket science, to please Satan, for only that gospel according to Christ, brings his return.
