@Dylankobe247 жыл бұрын
I was lucky to be at the game in Charlotte over the weekend. The doors opened at 5:30 (1:30 before games time) and Lonzo was already there shooting. He stayed on the court for 50 minutes until he got called back into the locker room, and before he went in he took some photos with fans and people that were dogging his shooting. I think that it's misunderstood that he doesn't care or he has a cool mood. He does care and I think his work ethic shows that.

Lonzo will be fine. The one stat that improves with NBA players over years is FG/FT percentage. He'll be like 17pts/12 assists/5 boards and a steal per game on 43 percent shooting for his career. I don't know if that's all time great though.
@spidavenom47 жыл бұрын

James Foreman that's funny bro. Everyone jumps to conclusions so quickly. Lonzo isn't playing too well sure; but how can you not compare his skill-set to hall of famers with similar rookie stats. He has the qualities of a great player, but the mindset of a 19 year old. Not everyone comes NBA ready at 19yrs old.
@OthoWilliamsJr7 жыл бұрын
Getting old, I guess you are no longer allowed to be a Rookie. You are no longer allowed to learn how to play the position no more. If Lonzo was the Point Guard for Houston he would average, 30 to 40 assist a game. But no, he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers where there are 4 rookies on the team with veterans. No coach and no one there that coaches basketball like it should be played. Were watching point guards drop 30-40 points but never drop 15 assist, only two or three active Point Guards have 15+ assist games. Why is that never a conversations like where have "All the Point Guards Gone?!"

When I was younger like them, I was killing big men, outplaying, and killing them. Gotta be clear "Evolving" to what though. Where the Point Guard out score the actually Shooting Guard?! The reason he’s not allowed to be a rookie is because he came in being hyped as the next greatest thing, and he’s playing mediocre basketball and he’s inconsistent. You’re seeing rookies come in and dominate like Embiid, Simmons, Fox, Kumza, and Lonzo, who is the 2nd pick is playing no where near those levels. If you’re coming into the league being praised as the next Magic Johnson or next Jason Kidd you better be playing at ROTY levels and that’s just not happening.

Steph averaged 17 a game because he went insane in like March/April of that year and dropped like 30/8 a game lmao. His first few games weren't that much better than Lonzo's if I remember correctly. Not saying Zo's gonna become Steph or anything like that, but just putting things in context a little bit

I wish we could just see Joy from the thumbnail so we don't have to keep watching them string Lonzo news along every day...

lonzo is a poor mans rubio. no mid range. cant drive. teams sag off to let him shoot

Adam K lonzo can drive to the basket tho. And that’s what’s so frustrating watching him every game. He gets into the paint and immediately passes it out. Even when he has a open layup/floater. It’s so frustrating.....

Being a head coach is a THANKLESS job. Coaches get all the blame when the team is losing games and no credit when they are winning games...and I'm okay with that. That said, it's up to the PLAYER to get in the gym and work on developing his skills. It's up to Lonzo to get in the gym and develop his skills. Lonzo needs to work on his drives to the basket. He needs to learn how to put the ball in the basket from close range, be it a shot or a layup, going at a fast pace. It's great that he can drive the ball up the floor fast, but he needs to be able to finish the play at the basket. He also needs to work on his jump shot. Lonzo needs to do that for himself, not wait around for some coach to help him with it. Some things you can do yourself...this is one of them.

Ppl will always say Lonzo does nothing but at the beginning of the game he was aggressive Prolly would had a double if LUKE DIDNT TAKE HIM OUT AT THE BEGING OF THE 1st QUATER & PUT HIM BACK IN LIKE TWO YEARS LATER IN THE 2nd ITS REALLY FRUSTRATING HONESTLY

Does Skip just forget about Lebron? Lonzo has the most pressure and expectation of all time... give me a break, Lebron was labelled the "Chosen One" and "The King" before he even got into the league.

Only reason lanzo is playing is because lakers and magic don't want to admit they made a mistake in the draft. Let's be real , lakers been struggling for the last 6 years.

I'm sorry, but as a Lakers fan, Luke Walton hasn't shown he can coach at all. From his starting lineup, to his arbitrary substitutions, to his lack of drawing up set plays for Ingram and Kuzma. I don't think he's the right coach for this team. And please don't bring up his time in GS, anyone, yes anyone can win with that roster, and Mike Brown proved that.

Imagine if LeBron joins the Lakers. NBA finals, game 7, Lakers vs Celtics. Lakers down by 2, 3 secs left. Lonzo passes to Lebron for a three and it goes in. Skip: Lonzo made the pass of passes. LeBron needed Lonzo to save his legacy.

If he wasn't "ready" he shouldn't have entered the NBA draft bcuz it's for ppl that are ready and that's why it's called a "Proffesional" sport not for players that still aren't ready and need to still develop for 2-3yrs.
